Really loved the game, despite a few minor faults already mentioned. I could NOT give it a five, at least on the Kongregate page, b/c of the removed content. Still, awesome game.
takes half a dozen tries just as a lvl 3 to find someone who will accept a match w/out leaving...
Cards you can only win via the random 3% win thing would be interesting.
1) even 3% of wins is rather low. means HOURS of work to get a new card (a RANDOM one at that). For new players, this makes it even more difficult to get cards, as it's harder to win.
2) So... you picked a set of crappy starter cards. What next? Not a whole lot.
3)The rank/skill level have no use beyond bragging rights, and encouraging people to kick you before a game starts the higher you are.
4)Not many people play 5-card b/c there is little incentive since same 3%.
5) Again, 3% random card makes new players to kongregate/kongai have almost NO chance to win.
Adding the stats of the units/buildings you can buy along with the general advantages/disadvantages to the 'Help' webpage link would probably be much appreciated by new players. I know you can scroll over the units in-game, but it's kinda hard to do that while playing. Especially when you've never played and don't know what the various units DO. Not a level-by-level strategy guide, just like the first few pages detailing your own units and buildings.
I concur with the comments about perhaps making the game a bit more RPG-ish, with carrying over various things from previous levels.
The rest is just general bugs/issues that have been found by others, but besides common stuff like that, a very enjoyable game. Great job.
This game being a BETA means there are bound to be some bugs, cost/stat disparities, and general interface issues. That said, there are certainly plenty of the former 2. Needs some minimal tweaking on the interface, and some modest adjustments for item cost or item stats. How well these issues are fixed will mean the difference between the current 2-3/5 to anywhere from 4-5/5.
