this was a really great game. i really enjoyed the upgrade system, and thought you kept it fresh with the new genes and cells to add a nice tactical element. my only complaint, and its not really even that. is the levels started off long and hard, and got easier and quicker. bit of a strange way to pace the game. and yeah, like everyone says. max reproduction, str, and def and you're sure to overpower the enemy. speed is nice, but agi seems a little pointless.
i thought it was really really well programmed. it was clean, had a consistant style to the graphics. and best of all, you didnt cop out with the weapons. rather than just making bigger guns that fire faster, and do more damage, you really made an effort to make them all different in a meaningfull way. so kudos for that. i also loved the missile guiding. my missile swarms went exactly where i wanted them to go like they were reading my mind. i didnt even realise it was mouse assisted. equally, the enemies are actually different, behave differently, and look different. not just bigger with more hp. again. kudos. despite all these great things tho, the gameplay itself was killed by the repatition of it. maybe if there were more variaty in levels like "run the gauntlet" or "survive 3 minutes" i would have stayed interested eneogh to beat the game.
its not a bad game, only as everyone seems to say, its WAY too slow, and way way too predictable. attacks don't have a min or max damage, its all static. the AI is also so predictable that you can figure out with 1:1 accuraccy where you will be in 5 turns.
