Okay, so having played this game for a fair number of hours; I honestly kinda hate it. Where's the strategy from the earlier games? This game, you just rush and overwhelm whenever possible. It's so fast paced, and grindy, that it just feels like a generic combat game, not the latest in a strategy game series..
As with all of the free to pay games, I want to like it, but I fundamentally can't. The concept is good, the art is pretty good, but the gameplay hits a wall fast. Make a city? Fine. Do some quests? Sure. Then get to a point where there is obviously no way of getting past it without shelling out a ton of money. Then I stop playing, because there's no point.
If it's cool with the staff of TheGameKitchen, I've started drawing some fanart for this series. I have some ideas about how characters should look, but I'd like to hear from the developers before I invest too much in my designs. So far I've just drawn Anthony Beechwood :)
Another game I WANT to like, but one that has levels that require some perfect click or strategy that makes me want to stop playing entirely. Wish I could have beaten it, but it's literally designed in a way that I can't.
Started off promising, but then the difficulty ramped up way too high. I stuck it out and tried different upgrades and formations, and honestly, it didn't help much. I might come back to this one someday, but right now? I'm done.
Fun game bogged down by one major problem. The lag. After the enemy gets a decent number of troops on the field, your ability to fight back is severely compromised cause of the sheer slowdown. One second your clicking to make troops, the next the whole screen is just enemies.
If you didn't like the first one, you probably will feel the same about this one. It has better graphics but all the same problems. The game lags whenever you pick up faeries/spirits, and once you have a decent accumulation of each the controls become super slow. If you use up your keys before you get the nature stones then you have to start over because the only keys left are ones you can't get to. The human in the game is as useless as he ever was.
There should be enough keys on the ground to get all the chests on the ground. Even so, you don't even need to complete that quest to finish the game. :3
Too difficult. If you and your enemy were on an equal starting point, that'd be much better. Instead, they are swarming you by the time your allowed to do anything. I can't count how many times I've been killed because the game lags, and during that lag, the enemy gets to do anything they want while your base is just getting wiped out.
The difficulty curve is really high on this one. Your perpetually outnumbered, and outclassed. I'm trying to beat the level with Boris, and my best is still having three enemies at full health when I get stomped.
This game is really difficult. The time locked doors in the beginning don't give you nearly long enough to get to them, when the triggers are so far from the doors they unlock.
