I really like the idea of ammunition as a resource, but it makes collecting resources with fully upgraded weapons rather difficult because they're so expensive to shoot.
Game guide! Day 640 on Easy. Topped the all time hall of fame list. I could easily keep going.
1: Don't waste gems on turrets or repeaters unless you have to. Save them for unlocking new techs.
2: Switch from cannons to bows to lasers as fast as you can. Lasers are boss.
3: Build shallow. Take over the entire map as quick as you can, especially crystal mines and crystal mine multipliers. Build a line to the edge, then build around the whole edge, then fill in the middle, placing a laser, bow, or cannon every few spaces or so as your tech allows.
4: Don't worry too much about upgrading resources besides power. Lasers are so OP compared to guns and bows. You should be constantly upgrading your crystal mines. If you followed all the steps above you're likely OP and will spend hours doing nothing but upgrading mines.
Late game the corners of the map take the most punishment.
This is a really fun game. One pet peeve though. After I've tabbed out to another window the keyboard controls stop working. Pressing spacebar scrolls the Kongregate website down to the bottom of the comments instead of pausing the game, and I don't know how to fix it aside from reloading the game page.
Just bought Elemental Link on Steam. $4 seems really reasonable. I like your classical style RPG/puzzle game. Reminds me of the old Lufia games for Super Nintendo decades back.
Sorry about that. Edge is not a frequent browser. I can't test on Edge, because Edge refuses to work in anything but Win10 - and even if I could test, I would likely not be able to do much about it, because the engine is clearly not compatible. Having said that, the engine works best as a standalone - which is what the Steam game is, of course.
The game freezes in the first scene when the girl walks out of the room with the puppy.

I'm using Microsoft Edge as the browser.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! The next installment of the Rebuild series is available on Steam! It's called Rebuild: Gangs of Deadville Thank you person in the comments who mentioned it.
Sarah Northway, you should put an ad for it in your Kongregate games. :)
A weird bug happens when I mine an asteroid with a transport cruiser carrying multiple expansions. The brakes don't work well of course, so I bounce back and forth between the asteroid to get a good mining range but the strange thing is when my ship is kicked backwards while mining and endlessly accelerates backwards while gaining fuel. My speed is at -500 and climbing fast along with a miraculous 5000 litre fuel tank that's also growing. I fly by the entire sector in an instant, lol.
Might be a loading issue? Might want to give your browser cache a clearing or try another browser as a test. If that doesn't work you can always mail me and we'll sort it out. My address is in the game description. Best, -Tim
They would have taken my castle, but then they took an arrow in the knee, and a half dozen in the chest from support archers, then they got sniped in the face by a drunken crossbowman, and blown apart by a catapult bomb.
It's not impossible, but it's really frikken hard. Made it to Hyperion 2.0 on the boss run, but was decimated in seconds. Red ship can't evade the green lasers fast enough.
This is weird, could you try playing on yorg3.io directly? This should fix it
