Use Last Flake on the final boss, 5 points in health, 5 points in regeneration. He won't be able to do any lasting damage. Chip away at his health at your leisure.
Level 3 was fun. All the enemies were concentrated in the north so i just happily conquered the entire southern hemisphere and then crushed the squabbling fools with overwhelming numbers on every front. Finished in 20 turns.
I'm reading through the comments to look for funny things to plus and wishing there was some sort of filter for all the outrage against tokens and the day limit. I mean, yeah i agree with you but seriously we all know already.
Ok, best strategy for hard badge: get an officer and keep bringing all your guys to the top of the screen. Make sure to kill all enemies before sending everyone up. Once you get 12 tp get sarge and send everyone else back (officer last). Solo with sarge, keep heading up, killing all enemies before proceeding. Heal with Heroism when Sarge is under 100 hp. You should easily get past wave 50 like this without losing your single man.
