Is it just me or do you have to play really risky to have a chance to win? I hovered around 30-40% invasion risk all game to win on normal difficulty. This game is interesting, but a little to RNG for my taste. I wish you had a little more control over how the events played out (more depth/choices in them perhaps?)
I agree with MuckingAbout. i AM red-green colorblind and those gates were just pot luck with me. luckily i stopped seeing them after a few launches and a couple upgrades.
I'm assuming there are two colors of blocks blocking you. please change colors, allow for other color choices, or make them marked differently than cubes, for colorblind and color deficient players.
Next update (coming in 1-2 hours) will have a different color scheme. It will uses purple+yellow instead of green+yellow. Hopefully that will help color blind people having a better experience.
This isn't japan, the arrow keys and zxcv isn't widely used or accepted. Please at least allow for rebindable keys for the player not used to japaneese controls
I assume you're supposed to bring a train to the right color station, which gives me a bit of an issue as soon as blueville is added. being red-green colorblind i can not tell between blue and purple at all (one of the possible color distinction problems in partial-colorblindness). since i don't see any other visual cues, not sure how i can play this game.
if you're unsure what colors are good or not, try vischeck.com to test your art. or add shapes or other distinctions to help determine what trains go where.
need to be able to see the recursion i think. perhaps a number next to the input to show what level of recursion you're in? would make levels 17 and 18 more accessible to players who do not program.
oh crap... low scores are better... i thought it gave you a budget and that was left over amounts. well, back to the drawing board!
please dev, explain that scoring is like golf. lower scores are better. show that its cost and not left over revenue!
7080, told me i was in the top 10% of scores :D level scores: 1-180 2-220 3-140 4-340 5-150 6-610 7-280 8-660 9-440 10-660 11-550 12-710 13-860 14-1280
why does everyone insist on putting red against green?? I'm part of the 1 in 12 men who are red-green colorblind... that first level is so frustrating i don't expect to be playing anymore.
IMO in hardcore, if you die, the levels and items on those characters should reset. perhaps a second save file just associated with hardcore? seems cheap if you level characters up elsewhere and then have high level, high gear to put into hardcore...
the story was so great! it brought me to tears twice. for something so short, it was quite powerful. the workshop world took me by surprise though. i kept thinking, "Is this what the inside of the dev's mind looks like? this is ridiculous!". despite the fact that i don't usually enjoy this genre of game, i loved this! 5/5
Whoa! Twice?! Yeah right!
"despite the fact that i don't usually enjoy this genre of game, i loved this! 5/5"
Yes! I am very pleased to hear this! You know, I am not a fan of Hidden Object Games as well. But I wanted to see if I can make people see past that and I am pleased with the responses. Just you wait until I make a real game, Neosquad!
P.S. I could have done way more to the workshop level and the other levels, I am just limited with our technology....It keeps crashing on me. No joke. It's scary to go back in the Project File to work on the game. It's like, every click is a chance to step a land mine. And hey, I ain't tryna brag, but I have 16 gig ram and blahblhabl, my computer is a beast. But I learned so much from this project, if were to try again, I think I could pull off more, from optimization and tactical decisions.
Thank you for your appreciation, playing the game, seeing past the genre and embracing the experience.
@ Pippo San: the first one is not luck, it is strategey. attack with ONLY double what is defending on middle east and india. the extras you hold in europe. on turn 2 or 3 you can take over europe AND keep moving forward. giving you the armies you need to push into austrailia and get the turn 6 win.
I don't know how you notice such an intricate thing, but thank you.
