One thing that would make this game even better: get rid of edge scrolling and instead use absolute position scrolling (calculate the relative position of mouse from center of the screen, multiply by scene-size to screen-size ratio and shift the view by the resulting vector). Edge scrolling doesn't make first person shooters more challenging, it makes them frustrating.

Two things that would be nice: 1) When you open a workshop interface, you should see the number of each item in stock without having to select it for production. 2) There should be some indication when one of your workshops completes its task. Preferably a clickable one that will take you to the workshop's interface.

I can confirm arcseed's level 10 with $620 and I've managed to improve my solution of level 11 to $490.

Great game, just one thing that keeps it from being perfect - the annoying pop-ups about cards, damage taken etc. Could you please make them smaller and move somewhere else (like the lower right corner) so we can actually see where we're flying?

Yet another game that looks like an economic strategy game at the first glance but is actually a sandbox game for little girls which has nothing to do with either strategy, tycoon or business. It may be fun for those who like sandbox games but I really crave a good economic strategy game that makes sense (flares? WTF?!). Seriously. On all of Kongregate, there's exactly ONE game of that genre but it's horribly buggy and unplayable because it lacks even the most basic statistics so you're basically playing blind. So if any competent developer is reading this, PLEASE, take a look at the good old Transport Tycoon, Sim City or Caesar series and make a real economic strategy game. If it's at least halfway decent, it'll be an instant hit given how little competition there is on this site.

Is it just me or are the controls really painfully unresponsive for a fast paced action game? Yes, I'm already playing on lowest possible quality settings and my system is Intel Core i5 so my system should be able to run a dozen instances of this game smoothly if it was properly optimized.

Very interesting story but it's a little too short with too much pixel hunting. Repeat after me: "PIXEL HUNTING IS NOT FUN!" If something is important for the story, it has to stand out just enough to be noticed immediately.

This was supposed to be hard? Come on, there were just 3 levels which made me think for more than 5 minutes: 36, 39 and 40. And 36 took me so long just because I couldn't see the obvious. BTW: I did level 40 with just 99 pieces.

The Friend program is misleading because cin is a bit peculiar (or iostreams in general). When your program expects a number and you type in a word, cin will interpret it as error and stop reading in any values until the error flag is cleared (and dealt with) by your code. So int is a really bad choice for the variable where you're going to store the user's name. As others have already pointed out, the only difference between float and double is in the number of bits, not in the way of storing the number. Also, floating point numbers trade precision for value range. Float may be able to store numbers from 10^-44 to 10^38 but it might not be able to distinguish between 123456788 and 123456789 (both of which fit into 32-bit int) because float's precision is only 7 digits. Double has precision of 15 digits.

The int main() line is a definition of a function. int is declaration of its return type and main is a special name reserved for the program entry point. The main() function is also special in that the only valid return types are either int (in which case it must return a number between 0 and 255 which will be then passed to the parent process) or void (in which case the parent process always receives return value of 0). The parentheses following function name contain list of parameters (in short, a list of variable declarations separated by comma). For main(), the valid options are empty list, (void) - equivalent to empty list in C++ but not in C, (int argc, char **argv) - array of strings passed from command line, argc is the count of strings in the array, argv[0] is the name of the program, argv[argc] is always NULL, and (int argc, char **argv, char **env) - same as above, the third parameter contains the array of environment variables, the last item is again followed by NULL.

There's a whole lot of stuff that needs correcting. First: #include is a preprocessor directive which tells the compiler to take the iostream header file (library is something completely different) from system include paths and replace that line with contents of that file. Quotation marks instead of angle brackets would tell the compiler to look for the file in project directory instead of system include paths. The using namespace std; is not so good idea when you write something bigger because it tells the compiler to merge everything from namespace std to the default (unnamed) namespace. It's preferable to either request individual members of the namespace (using std::cout;) or simply use the full std:: prefix throughout the code.

Hard badge: 1) Sniper Field. Don't bother using closer zoom, you're just wasting precious time. You have to get 10 hits in 10 shots under 60 seconds. Choose targets according to wind. 2) Pistol Room. Unlock Hackler&Koch USP .45 and memorize the target sequence. If you miss two or more targets, it's over. 3) Hostile Arena. Get a few kills with 100% accuracy and let the bad guys kill you. This challenge is bugged anyway and doesn't count kills from previous waves. 4) Gun Running. Unlock Hackler&Koch G36C and memorize target positions in each window. Don't bother with getting high accuracy and use auto fire. You need at least 16 hits so if you get 3 or more misses, it's over. 5) Long range. Use Colt M4A1 SOCOM and switch to single shots. Shoot quickly at close targets and aim carefully at distant ones. In the third target wave, switch to target which is behind cover after each hit. If you get at least 85% accuracy and stay under 50 seconds, you pass.
