Even with manual selection of "save to cloud" and backup file, I've lost my save data twice. I love the game, but if this happens again, I'll feel forced to move on.

You can message to me your progress (your zone, gems, ascension count) and I can create an export code for you to restore your progress to as close as possible to the state you have last left it at. Regarding cloud save, the cloud will only load to your computer if it detects that you have no save files. The game only loads from the cloud if all your save slots are detected to be empty. If so, a popup that says "Data loaded from cloud" will show on the Main Menu. When saving your data to the cloud, you should not close the game/tab immediately after pushing the button as it may take a few seconds for your file to be saved to the cloud. Wait for the message that says "Data saved to cloud!" before closing as closing prematurely may interrupt the cloud saving process and have unpredictable results. Also, are you playing on multiple computers/devices? At this point, the game will not "sync" progress on multiple devices.
Last level disproportionately difficult. Difficulty ramp was smooth to that point. Perhaps there should be more upgrades, the whole game should be more difficult, or the last level should be easier. When victory has to be based on the ai messing up, that destroys the fun and satisfaction.
Quantity not quality. Why is the background music silent night? Why aren't items labeled on mouse over. These ENA games could be better with just a little effort.
