I played on easy after normal took forever and come on........ level 4 i cranked out as many of every unit as i could, fully upgraded factory, recycler, supply chain, etc and was still at 10 vs 105.
The game seems so poorly thought out after the other BT games, which I liked. Just so boring. What's the point of even doing "arenas" or having different bubbles when every single one is just a straight line? Just play in one giant bubble or something. I decided just to play for the Kongai card, at the end of level 10 my ship was just 2 guns - a 3 spread and 2 parallel, using 6/23 bubble points and 4/4 gun points.
Just get rid of gun points completely and have guns take more bubble points. I understand the idea in theory, but nothing does enough damage and classes don't give enough hp to make the offset of size/speed worth it.
I think it's pretty ridiculous that you can be busting down an enemy castle and then out of nowhere 30 mighty guardians come out at once, kill your entire army, and then kill your castle in the span of a minute. Like what's the point of even trying to do something strategic when the entire strategy of the "AI" is to just cheat and launch more units than are possible at once?
The progression seems weird, like it seems as though you don't get enough XP.
Also, the interface is really, really clunky. Rather than shift through your heros to pick a unit it'd be nice if you just lined the units up along the bottom, there's a lot of wasted space, so that would be possible.
Then bring up heroes and all of that after a screen, so you can assign their talent points without navigating the menus and all of that.
The difficulty settings being just a matter of decreasing your resources (thereby extending the game and leading to numerous discard turns) is really just a bland copout.
The game would be so much better if you could do everything computer cars do. Or they could only do what you could do. No more driving through puddles unaffected, no more midair turning, etc. It's ridiculous that this would make it out the door like this.
First boss is probably the most boring fight I've played in one of these games. Invulnerable enemies aren't fun. Also, that he can turn around mid swing and hit you is stupid. Makes me not want to continue.
