I've just started getting an "Incompatible Save Game Data (Beta Saves cannot be used in this version of the game)" message. Is there anyway to fix this, or am I just out of luck?
You can msg me here or on Discord and I can try to fix it for you (I check discord multiple times a day usually, kong just once or twice a week), otherwise you'd have to play exclusively on the closed/restricted beta links which can be risky if the beta version has bugs
Not sure if this has been covered or reported but there is something up with the idle speed bonus. Any planet relying of Hydrogen for reactors runs out of said fuel during speed up. I have my auto route set up to transfer more than is needed and all runs smoothly under normal speed. But under the speed up, all the reserves are eaten and my planets lose energy, produce less, and the idle bonus is mostly wasted. This seems like an error in my opinion.
For those working on the last achievement, here's another hint. Try interacting with your pet wyrms. If they are to grow up to be big strong dragons, they need love, attention, nourishment *cough cough* and all the other little things we need to grow.
Its hard to tell, but I'm not convinced the double profit items work right. The listed price doubles, and is in a yellow font, but the $/s value doesn't change, and the income rate at the top of the screen didn't appreciably change. BTW, I doubled alloys making ~138k (> 100k greater than next best producer.) This should have jumped up to ~276k, which I thought would have been noticeable. So, when you have time check this, please. And also consider adding a total income stat somewhere (hover over current balance is an idea.) Otherwise enjoying it.
@Adun725, If you're referring to the banner at the top of the page, that's for a game called global assault, which I believe is different than Cosmos Quest, so I don't think you need to worry.
I agree with the suggestions already made by others: turn gold to science, pause breeders, etc. But to really extend gameplay and make the game more interesting, I would make progression non-linear by making color mutations based on the colors of the parents. Yellow breed with blue makes green, blue and red makes purple, purple and green makes black or some such pattern. Also include space in the museum for triple, quadruple, ... colored clovers. Creating an eight colored clover would be challenging, and if you have more than 8 colors (as you already do) then there will be multiple rainbow configurations to master. Just how I would extend the life of the game as I'm almost done, and from the comments others are and desire to play more. Cheers!
Is there something in the code that effects productivity while idle? Last night from 12 to 7 (while I was asleep and inactive, but the game was on), I went from ~40 billion research to ~75 billion. Since then I've been switching on screen power plant, but have *not* bought any upgrades, and in 3 hours I've gone from ~75 billion to ~205 billion. Is this an intended effect? Or is there something bogging down the works behind the scenes? On a more positive note, this is a great upgrade from reactor idle. I was said when that game stagnated too, so I'm happy to see that someone picked it up and ran with it so well.
It would be awesome if there was an actual red flag to click in the tutorial. As of right now its not showing for me, and thus I can't proceed with the tutorial and game.
@ninjacloneXD foe hammer I think is more likely a hobbit reference, as one of the elven swords the dwarves discover in the troll cave is named Foe Hammer. But it could also be a reference to a brute hammer.
I'm not one who usually complains about games, but this one is one of the worst I've seen with badges. The minigame grind is bad enough, but I also keep finding little errors here and there. Here are a few examples. The cannon mini game: A dead center hit reads +10, when an off center hit reads +63 or so. I'm guessing you only coded enough for 3 characters a + and two numbers. Second, I have watched the blue duck that is supposed to be guiding you around all those rocks fly right though them. Oh, and the underwater cavern swimming minigame, you couldn't have the swim up command different than the button used to dismiss the explanation? The first four times I played that I hit the ceiling immediately. I have to barely tap the space bar to get out of the dialog and not hit the roof and end the game. These are errors I could see if this was the first installment of the game, but as this is the fourth and they all have been fairly similar, it just makes me sad.
First time playing the game. Seems good so fairly good so far. Just one thing I noticed. I just won the spring cup but the banner at the top still has the words "brutal cup" super-imposed on top of it.
At first I thought this game was good, but the more I play it the less I like it. Yeah, I know there are some easy strategies that will lead to victory, but the AI for your troops can be a bit retarded. I don't know how many times I have seen my line of miners run head long into an enemy spearton to have them all cut down. Or better yet, my spearton will just stand there and allow enemies to run up and kill them without even acting like they are defending. But other than those technical difficulties this gamee seems pretty good.
