I think I have to agree with most of the other comments... shows some promise, but there is a great need for explanation of just about everything in the game... keep working on it!
I don't understand the upgrade system. For my first upgrade I can choose from some of the ones near the top. Okay. For my next upgrade, even though I can still afford those upgrades, suddenly I can't purchase them anymore... why not? And eating meat is not worth it, you become a bigger target with no discernible benefits. Interesting idea, disappointing execution.
This is the second time in as many days that I have tried to play this game and the only thing that happens is this: the big red Fifth Column Games logo loads and then... nothing. It just stays there no matter what I click on. I might try again another time...
Much like JadeDragoon, I am having an awful time with Insker and those blasted Fetid Swamps! I have even tried starting over and carefully choosing my cards, but to no avail. I'm about ready to quit playing this game, it's not much fun playing the same losing game dozens of times waiting for that 'perfect moment of luck' when you just happen to outguess your nearly invincible opponent... too bad, I was enjoying the game up to that point... (and he's not even the last opponent either!)
I gave it a brief try...looks really good, however I just cannot manage to get used to a 'flight simulator' that does not allow for the Y-axis to be reversed. I am always going up when I want to go down and vice versa. I'll check back here a few times to see if that gets added, if not, sorry, can't play it.
Some of those shots that start you out near a sun are incredibly frustrating. And that perk to show the gravity of planets... did not work at all. It showed nothing. Doubt that very many people will get the hard badge...
If you played and saved before yesterday's first two updates, your data was wiped. All updates after those and all future updates will not require any data wipes. Sorry about that!
Worst. Game. Ever. Can't even get a combo string of 1! I'm not inept, but the enemies will not jump unless I am not near enough to strike them... however, any time I jump they magically teleport over to me and beat the crap out of me... will never play this game again.
Yay! Achievements... wait. I have to like them on Facebook and Twitter to get the last achievement? I don't have either of those things, and I'm not about to get them just for some pointless achievement! Love the game, glad there are achievements, wish I didn't have to advertise to earn them.
Whoa, turns out I was looking at the price of opium and thinking it was my stock of opium left in inventory, then getting angry when my ships wouldn't head out to deliver... oops! Oh well, I guess I won't be getting that badge after all...
I like it... but... it is so blasted difficult! I made it all the way to stage 50 and could not hold out! It went on forever and they just kept coming! Finally, I succumbed to the overwhelming numbers of enemies, with victory barely out of reach! Tried it again, same result. There's just not enough replay value here. Sorry. Nice work though.
It would be nice if you had a quick preview of the 'cards' before they were flipped face down... that way you could exercise memorization techniques instead of just 'guess and check'... especially when the cards you have memorized get taken by the enemy and so your memory has nothing to do with it anyway... otherwise, nice concept, fun game, keep it up!
This preview feature was in the game during a part of development. Players were unable to remember more than one or two pairs, and were sad to fail. Yes, the game is a combination of luck and skill (just like poker), but with the focus more on skill, I had way more sad players to deal with..
Interesting enough, but the music is annoying... and now it is playing like a broken record (the same three notes over and over...)... nice idea though
Right, so what everyone else was saying, you know, about the Gold Coins you had saved up disappearing? They were right! That is awful. I will not be playing this game again, despite how fun it was, because I don't want to see all the money I had saved up go to waste...
Well, it was okay... but having to start with that weak boxing glove and no armor each level was irritating. As were the powerups that disappeared after you needed them...
So... it won't 'connect,' and when I click 'try again,' it flashes a message on the screen to play at ninjakiwi's site... well, I guess I'll never play this again...
