Seriously, it's November 2009 and people still haven't figured out implementing mute buttons? Believe it or not, some people like to listen to their own music rather than some random fruityloops generated stuff
I mean it's not a masterpiece but A. it's a lot better than anything I could do and B. it's their first project. Tell them they did a good job. I still rate it 3/5, however, just because despite it being their first I wouldn't put it in the same category as a game like Sonny or Gemcraft. Oh, and I wasn't the world's biggest fan of the "turn off the sound" directions...
It was well made and everything, but I thought some of the puzzles were a bit ridiculous and required pretty large leaps of logic. But otherwise, great production values, very fun, very cool.
Well I got Holy Paladin on my first run. But regardless, it's a good game with some problems. For instance, it does have a very strong emphasis on strategy, which is good. But then it throws the whole being a tremendous wimp deal into the equation which is done very poorly. So next time around (if there is a next time) my humble opinion is that you revamp the stress system, add depth to combat and allow a choice of the character's sex >_>
I love steam stuff and this game seems very full-featured and functional. It's just confusing for a person like me who doesn't know jack about engineering. Maybe that's the way the game is designed, in which case it's great, but I feel like I would get much more enjoyment out of this if I had experience building things, or there was a longer set of instructions that really explained things from the base of the basics to the actual game.
