Interesting concept. A little slow to progress. Needs some indicator of the difference between a terminal and a container so I don't click on a computer when I have no interest in hacking it. items are too easily hidden by walls. With high resolution graphics like this I REALLY need to be able to maximise this into a larger size.
Cute game, love the concept, liked the stupid jokes and the lame items to 'fix' the ship. Level design needs a bit of work. They were kind of uninspiring. The super weak jump of the main character made some of the simple tasks unreasonably difficult. Specifically it should be easier to jump across a one brick gap and he should be able to jump two bricks instead of just one. Then i could use the terrain ability to strategically place bricks in key locations instead of having to build a complete staircase or a solid bridge. +1 for letting me make the screen larger.
Super fun game. Most "reverse tower defense" games I've played have fallen flat. This one was great. I think the path switching added an interesting dynamic. Without it this type feels largely like a run and gun where you can't even jump.
It would have been nice if my path was reflected on the map. Would have been easier to plan ahead without having to move away from my team.
Needs more levels. Finished the whole thing in one short sitting.
+1 for supporting a larger screen size.
Lagged a tiny bit here in chrome but not nearly as bad as some of the games with nicer graphics like this one.
Quite fun for a defense game. Normally I don't really like this type of game. Love tower defense but most defense games like this bore the heck out of me. One of the very few I have ever come back to.
Should integrate with Kong achievements.
Now that the level cap is up you should add medals for maxing out each of the three trees.
Please, please developers start supporting resolution changes (cinematic mode.) I have a very high res setting on my laptop screen. Makes games a little small. (some of them impossibly small.)
Would prefer it if this were just stretched a little, I.E. more upgrades available to my base stats a bit more often and more levels but for a game with 8 levels it was pretty fun.
Also it was a tiny bit frustrating when trying to jump at the last second of a corner to be flipped just as I am jumping. There should be a way to adress that in the code.
Cute game, decent music but repetative. I concur with Vincent1337 that the game slowly progressed from puzzle to reflex. Lost my interest on level 25. I'd love to see a sequel with more puzzles, less reflex and more interesting music.
it's cute, I like the difficulty imparted by the 1 button control but it adds a level of frustration I'm not willing to put up with. On a longer level after I've just dodged a bunch of spine traps through meticulous timing when I miss one by a fracion of a second and then have to repeat the entire level it makes me no longer want to play. Perhaps checkpoints on longer levels.
Also I don't see the point of the coins. Do they give me something or are they just bonus points? I don't care about bonus points but upgrades are cool.
This is far more enjoyable than I expected from the name. Not the most complex gameplay in the world but what is there is well put together. Nice attention to detail. Choosing a weapon pauses my game. Randomized "floors" so I don't get bored quite so quickly. nice.
I would like a mini-map for the room that I'm in. So I know how barricades off screen are doing. Makes them a bit more useful. You could swap room and floor minimaps when in and out of combat.
It would be nice to have a better idea of what earns me experience. I kept sitting at the same level for several deaths then all of a sudden I would jump up two levels.
I would expect to be able to buy ammo at the weapons station.
I'd love to see this expanded to something with more than a single upgrade per weapon. I think this is a great base to build upon.
This was O.K. I wouldn't really call it an upgrade. There are some new things to do since the last version but they aren't really interesting things to do. I have to go to one set of co-ordinates and talk to someone before going to the actual set of co-ordinates. It just feels like busy work.
Sub control in boss fights is horrible. Seems like it's constrained to a much smaller portion of the screen, makes it really uncomfortable to fight the bosses. Especially annoying when it takes like five minutes to get to said boss (exahgeration) and then you die because the whole of the manuverable space is filled with boss projectiles.
This has the same issues 1 did with pain leve. You're calculating on the wrong things. Volume is measured in dollars not candy so I'm actually punished for upgrading my candy value.
Did I really just spend that much time on a game who's gamplay involves holding down a mouse button?
A little monotonous but cute and oddly compelling.
Not bad, very playable but short.
Nice upgrade schedule.
A little monotonous. It could use some variation. Maybe a series of bosses and different bonuses/hazards on each level. Obviously keeping in the theme, say something like pirates in hot air balloons, pirates in armored hot air balloons, etc.
I would have liked a greater degree of freedom, IE more space up and down.
Needs achievements, hard to imagine a flight game without achievements. I may actually have never seen one before.
-1 for no cinematic mode. This game really could have benefited from it. At least the base game is a decent size so details weren't completely invisible on my laptop monitor like some online games.
" Developer response from Kajenx
Aw, sorry man! I'll have to send you money for a new computer. ;)"
O.K. +1 for wizeassed sarcasm.
Actually it isn't my computer. That is plenty powerful enough. It's that I usually hit kong games with safari and flash is extra crappy in safari.
I don't know what you'd have to do to make your game not suck in Safari but it seems like 80-90% of games are fine. Some just can't be played in it.
Worked fine in firefox. I just finished it. It did glitch on me once near the end. you're wandering down this wind path or whatever it was called. Right after you go through this one island shaped like a C, you're going around it and I bumped into lazaris and it spat me right into the air where I could no longer get back from.
Kinda laggy. It was fun until I had to go through this random maze of teleporters and all the sprites from the fires made the game super laggy. I eeked my way along until the third time I got sent back to the beginning. Can't handle it anymore.
Haha, I have been asking myself that :p
