Not bad, better than I expected from this type of game. I usually don't like games which use this type of combat. It's far too much clicking around when you're running into wandering monsters. When I click on a baddie, it should perform a default action. It shouldn't have to take me five steps to perform an attack. + to crystal story because it only takes me two. One would be better.
I would like to be able to scroll around the skills tree and see what's coming up. I use the word "tree" here kind of freely, So far it's been a skills line. If it doesn't start branching soon I'm going to start getting annoyed that I have to keep navigating to the sp interface only to click on the only option I have. If I only have one option, just choose it for me and tell me about it, it's irritating to have to do it.
+ For supporting cinematic
+ For letting me move my toon around however I want instead of locking me into some control scheme I don't like (Hint to other developers)
You know I kinda concur w/ the guy who says level 24 really takes the fun out of this game. It's not just that one level but a few places which require fast action like that. I don't like twitchy action in my puzzle games. If I want to play something where I need quick reflexes I'll hop on the xbox and shoot stuff. I play flash games because they have all these cute interesting puzzle games.
I could really go for an eraser for those times when I accidentally close something off in one of those complex multi-step levels. That and the ability to speed it up would be perfect.
Still, 5 stars, one of the cutest and most fun physics games I've ever played.
Not as much fun as a point and click as it was as an adventure game. I love the 'consume and evolve' plot for games and was excited to see a v2 of The Visitor but a little let down.
Like the upgrades, gives the game some actual playability over the original. I concur w/ folks who say give the guys some time to clean up. Or alternately, automatically claim everything lying around after the last bullet leaves the screen. If so make sure it's obvious that just happened.
This is a super cute little retro bullet hell game. I was a little worried by the tiny screen size but then it supports cinematic so +1 for that. ^_^ I'm not completely thrilled by the color scheme but good work.
Seems like this game could benefit greatly from some depth. Love the music, love the graphics/art. I don't understand the purpose of all the tiles I can place. It seems like if I just place a bunch of grass everything else takes care of itself. I'd love to see you espand on this.
You know, I've played this game on Newgrounds and liked it. But when I got caught by that stupid popup add which I am forced to click on for the fourth time in a row because I was trying to walk past it to a section that was kind of difficult... I'm done. 2 stars.
Fantastic, I've been waiting for another one of these infect/take over/etc games to be released. They are too few and far between. I also like all the cute flash platformer elements, not just pits of spikes but conveyors, etc. Love the destroy host body for a big jump boost.
I concur with others who say it could use some more interesting levels. Don't make them harder by making it so that you have to jump from exactly the right spot and fail if you are off by one pixel width. Make them harder by making them less obvious. Have multiple possible paths on some levels and on others make it look like there are multiple paths to the goal even if there is really only one. Different solutions could be possible using different host bodies.
+1 star for supporting cinematic mode here on Kongregate.
It could be a bit more interesting if the humans ran away/towards the green glob depending on their role.
A fantastic start, I'd love a version 2.
