It's not a bad game. But like all these hidden-payment strategy MMO games, it starts off good.. until completion times go from minutes to hours to days, and you have to check back every 30 minutes to restock your food and water, otherwise you lose it, repetitive click-clickity-click gameplay.. after about level 5 it just stopped being fun. Especially in 3 days when my noob timer tuns out, and every douchebag starts trashing my compound I spent so many hours building up. No thanks.
Good addition to the NW saga.. but jeez the powerups are stingy, LOL. The rapidfire lasts about 1 sec, the health bonus heals like 20 HP, and the bomb destroys nothing by mid-level.
I'm sorry.. but this must be the most boring game I've ever played. And what's with building it with Unity? The whole thing is nothing but a bunch of gifs. Seems a bit click-baity to me. "Unity, cool! A 3D tycoon game...." :(
My main gripe is, if your cursor goes outside the play area, your ship won't move until you drag it back inside. Maybe it's a Flash issue. Also, the weapons are the gayest I've ever seen, Lol.
The Clay Bomb is cool.. I guess.. but I wish I could control how far it gets thrown (like the pipe bomb in Decision). How it is implemented now, with a fixed throw distance, *really* limits its usefulness. Oh don't forget to buy the bow early.. for taking out barrels for $50 a pop initially, but it's long range and big damage make it like the Sniper rifle.. BUT.. unlike the rifle, if you line up multiple enemies in a row, and aim at the furthest guy, one bow shot will hit them all ;)
Buy the "Grab" powerup, upgrade it all the way (doesn't take very long), then shoot a top level boss.. BOOM you have your very own uber pet for the rest of the game, AND for subsequent "start over" games ;)
It seems I spend half my time rambling the same ground over and over looking for faggoty engineers.. while I have a horde of useless guys in blue t-shirts.
The only weapon worth a damn is the sniper rifle. Huge damage, fires at 2x the speed in mode, and if you find a tower you laugh as you pick off even tough bosses from across the map. As opposed to the Stinger, the most fagotty weapon in the game. Weak damage (for what it is) and glacial reload time. But the worst part is, its exp upgrade is pathetic.. I did a map, must have killed 40 mutant bosses with the Stinger, and my exp went up whole 1.0 point.. giving me a whopping +8 damage. What a crock. Even non-boss mutants take 3 or more Stinger blasts to kill.
One more thing.. even with fully upgraded anchor mode, why am I still getting knocked on my ass by fairy mutant wolves?
This has the potential to a great game.. but when you move from"zombies" to "mutants", it goes from fun to stupidly over the top. Like, I start a clear the area mission, and spend an hour mashing the mouse button to clear 21,000 mass of monsters. Anther direct action assault mission, they pound my fort to dust in a minute. I try to upgrade my fort and I'm facing onslaughts including 8 uber boss monsters. I often play Decision 1 and 2 right thru.. but sorry, #3 just stopped being fun.
Is anyone else getting arthritic wrists from "defend the base" missions? I wish there was a toggle fire button option, or another fire key besides left-mouse.
(I know I'm gonna get downvoted for this) *Exploit* when the zombies bust thru the ceiling en-masse, if you find yourself overwhelmed.. just save & quit, and reload the game. They're gone/
