Does anyone else find it odd that you can completely crush the opponent, not lose a single life point, and still wind up with a frowny face, "regular" win? Friggin annoying...
Cool idea. The camera movement makes it unplayable though. If you separated it from the mouse, so either keys move the camera, or you just have 1 screen at a time, it would be a fun game. 2/5 now, 3/5 or 4/5 if the camera didn't move.
The way you get new cards seems to be broken. I have gotten lots of high scored (over 100 points on early levels with a max around 130) but not gotten any cards. It's not clear what you need to do to get cards.
The point and click part is nice, great art and mood. The fights are OK, like most people say the mechanics aren't great, but it's nice to see someone adding an element to point and click, kudos for the experimentation. The machine (with the saw blade) is too complex to not come with instructions. It was a simple, fun game up until then, but the huge jump in difficulty, and not even knowing what to do, made me put it down. 3/5
By the way, for those saying it's too hard, here's how to win: Build a barrier, and when it gets low, build a new one. Upgrade barrier twice, to the 32 strength for 12 oil one. Then upgrade attack until you get the final one, which is way better than all the rest. Build one each time his guillotine drops, so it gets through (pay attention to the timing here, or you will lose units). Also, a tip: Your resources are also your HP, so don't spend everything and have only 1 HP. Keep like 10 in reserve so you don't die randomly.
I've played this a few times since the graphics are so good, and since there's no other new game so far this week that I like. The real problem is, the AI obviously has no resource management. It just works from a script, sending out the same units all the time. This means there's no interaction with what you, as a player, do, so there's no way to develop strategies other than "dig in, upgrade to the end, then attack". A strategy game where there's only 1 viable strategy can be OK, but this strategy is easy and obvious, meaning it takes 1-2 plays to figure out, and then zero practice to execute properly. Too simple, no skill required, the game could just play itself.
Extremely easy. Since you can see the picture any time, and the pieces snap in place when you get it right, there's really no challenge. But a fun way to spend a few minutes.
Visually it's excellent, like Little Wheel. Gameplay is too simple, though. There's only 1 upgrade progression for attack vehicles, so you can't decide if you want power, speed, or cheap vehicles. And all you do is dig in, upgrade until you're done, then attack. Trying to attack before then leads to an exchange, except the computer gets more money than you do, so exchanging means you lose.
Nice game. I'll say here was I say on every mouse-controlled shooter: if we're always shooting, just make it automatic, don't make us hold the mouse down. Much easier on laptop users. Thanks
A lot of fun, I like the ability to micro units, or control in a general way. Some things that would improve it:
-Autosave
-Difficulty display (when I load a game, I can't tell the difficulty)
-Metrics on damage, hp, etc. It's currently hard to tell which units are best for damage, tanking, etc.
Agree with other posters. Cool idea, I see it's your 3rd game so I look forward to new ones from you. On the controls, try having the mouse control the ship. It's pretty common, and then players can move slow or fast. On the ball, the physics is weird. I can't see how to steer it. I'd expected it to bounce off the ship, like brick breaker but in all directions. Zwango is a similar game (not a rip off at all, just a bit similar) with a different control scheme, might be useful to take a look. Good luck on the next one man.
