It seems like cheating to say that I can't give this game a poor rating for x or y reason. It seems to me that I should be able to rate any game in any way I please. And while I sympathise with what you're saying, I find the tone offensive.
If I hate tower defense games (which I don't) it would be dumb of me to rate a TD well because the developer wrote "DON'T DOWNRATE BECAUSE OF IT BEING A TOWER DEFENSE GAME!!!," and if I hate ducks, there's no reason I shouldn't be allowed to rate ducklife poorly. It's bad form and in poor taste to demand that people give your game (or any flash content) a certain rating, or rate it for certain reasons and anyone that would rate it low will probably do so anyway.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I didn't rate your game at all, but I was mildly offended. Also, pleading for high ratings really shouldn't be the purpose of the description field.
I actually thought the end was a fun surprise. I don't understand why everyone's talking about PETA though. The animal rights message in this is pretty tame, and PETA isn't the only proponent of animal rights. Many people who feel strongly about animal rights don't care or affiliate with PETA, and many people at PETA seem not to care all that much about animal rights.
If you want suggestions, and not just bug reports, I think that hotkeys for adjusting your speed would be really conventient. (I would suggest 1, 2, 3 and 4), and (while this may have been mentioned before) it seems odd that some rooms upgrade uselessly (i upgraded to level 8 on the gift wrapping room, but three of those levels did nothing to the productivity. and the storage upgrades don't help much.)
Ya'll need to quit hating. It isn't the best game ever, but just because a game is not the pinnacle of it's genre doesn't mean you need to bash it. At least provide constructive criticism.
I agree with most of the other comments posted. I really want to like this, but it gets a little too frustrating to be fun as it goes on. I think some upgrades would do a world of good - and bonus points or (in game) achievements for certain feats (100% on a level, for example) would add a lot of depth. Instead of starting off with a bigger asteroid in each level, why not allow the user to upgrade size/defense as he or she plays?
Also, the fact that you can't pick up anything after being hit is enormously irritating.
All in all, this game is incredibly promising, and I really hope you do change it a little. What's wonderful about kongregate is the feedback, so I implore you to take advantage of it.
Also, anyone who wants nexumgames to add upgrades should say so, maybe we can get this to happen.
