Level 25 for example, seems like I need the regular # of filled in squares around the number as well as the isolated square #. Am I just missing something? It's possible this is just me.
Also, some levels feel like there's not enough information to go on and makes me feel like I really am guessing. I think that's why the mistakes mechanic seems so unsatisfying/annoying.
This would be much more fun without the mistake mechanic. What would be nice is when you think you have it solved, click a submit button and then let it tell you how many mistakes you made, then you can go back and try to find the mistakes and resubmit. The current mistakes mechanic kind of sucks some of the fun out of it. (Also as others have mentioned, the restart level button would be fantastic. If using the submit button method, just a 'clear all' button would be needed)
Sorry, also wanted to add that at the time of writing these I haven't finished the game yet. Working up skills before I head to see Sannah for Fountain of Light.
Suggestions (besides bug fixes): Confirmation on save, auto-attack if attacked, maybe a hotkey for pick-up item on ground/attack nearest hostile enemy, way to view recipes without being at the crafting station (especially for the campfire which isn't permanent), higher spawn rates or higher frequency of nodes for iron/coal (though not really necessary), there's parts for another fishing pole but no recipe for it? (maybe my skill isn't high enough but it seems to show future recipes with lvl requirement), the heart potion didn't seem overly useful. Only time I needed it was against mystical orcs and their damage output far exceeded the heart potion. (didn't die though so it helped. Go me. Got gud) Hope to see improvements, additions and an slightly improved sequel. At LEAST 2 thumbs up. [Part 2]
I really like this. A lot of fun. Complaints/bugs: Sometimes items go missing from inventory (lost a like-new iron pickaxe among other things), chests tend to transfer an item to inventory just by opening the chest, No confirmation that the game was saved when clicking on save button, coins sometimes do nothing when you select a skill but you still lose the coin, trying to get close enough to a chicken and still hit it with the orb was frustrating (then they just disappear often if you chase them too far), sometimes tough to click on an enemy to attack. [Part 1]
I'd also like to reiterate how much I hate unskippable guided tutorials that only let you click on the next steps; a trend I've noticed that increased with mobile games, which I generally loathe. Especially when no changes are made to the mobile model for PC/browser versions of them.
It's like a copy/paste of areas with different tilesets and then just an increase in all the numbers. Even the dialogue stops early on to just leave you feeling like the game is a job.
There's a considerable ramp-up in difficulty after the Iapetus Gate. Went from barely ever using potions to needing one every few minutes. The new watchers then have a great ability of stunlocking and the pet becomes completely useless... especially the 'caster' pets. While I continue the same quests over and over and over and over and over. And open gates over and over and over. And kill bosses over and over and over. And craft things that I want to keep without storage. Even though I have a carry limit. Then I made Golem sleeves to replace my Paladin sleeves. Even though the Paladin armor is supposed to be a "mage" set and paladin sleeves have strength and the golem sleeves have no other bonuses than 1 more defense. Seriously, some of the design choices just baffle me. I can't tell if it was ALL laziness or someone who just didn't want to be bothered playing the game to see if it was infuriating to play after a while.
Hi I'm very sorry you lost your save. Can you tell me what browser you were using? I've been hearing that my methods is unstable with Firefox.
