Love this game. The art and music are fantastic, the writing is engaging, and the Discworld quotes are a huge plus. You can tell the dev really cared about this one :)
I've been trying to learn coding for ages now, but I could never find the time or patience to sit through a traditional tutorial. This game is an incredible resource. Thank you so much for creating it! :)
Ignore my previous bug about upgrades not carrying. But to avoid wasting a perfectly good tweak, how's about adding a way to select multiple units at once? ;)
Lovely game! So far, the units seem well-balanced and the gameplay is definitely engaging. However, I noticed two things; occasionally when pausing, the game freezes up, necessitating a refresh. In addition, the upgrades applied to a cactoss don't seem to carry over when evolving; this might be intentional, though. Bugs aside, I'm looking forward to a serious playthrough later ;)
Lovely start to the game! Music and graphics are fitting, unit deaths are satisfying...I do have two recommendations, though. One, you might want to consider buffing the starting Lightning Bolt spell and Mana Regen slightly, so less time is spent grinding early on. Two, I noticed a disappointing lack of people screaming "MY LEG!" Please get on that ASAP.
For those impatient to begin a new combo/personally abuse more turtles, remember that going to the store magically cancels out your current combo (make sure you wait a few seconds). Happy hammering!
I mostly play this so I can pretend to have killed everyone in Madagascar, or at least that Madagascar sank into the ocean like some germaphobic Atlantis.
I love how you aren't an outlaw 'til you've killed a hundred policemen. Then again this is a society where the plebeians are separated by gigantic, nigh-unbreakable wall-doors and the research facilities are not dedicated to curing illnesses, but to creating candy bag teleporters and giant peppers. Maybe somersaulting bisons of death are among the least of their worries.
Clearing up some confusion; there's no quality button, this is an indie game on a slightly overtaxed server. Playing on Google Chrome helps tremendously. If you're stuck on the tutorial, help can be found at http://wiki.golemizer.com/index.php?title=Tutorial_Island. Time points are earned even while you are offline (or you can find a friendly player who will craft things for you). Not trying to steal business away from Kongregate, but the screen is much better on the main site, www.golemizer.com. You'll need a new account though, so for some it might not be worth it. Anyways I give the game 5/5 for its awesome community, true sandboxiness (is that even a word?) and the fact that you can draw the art for the game (The newest golem expansion is 100% player-created art!) If you have any more questions, just ask them in-game. Most players are keen to help newbies, though begging is a terrible idea (this goes for EVERY MMO, not just Golemizer).
Hope to see you folks in-game :)
