Very good game. Kinda reminds me of the old Where In the World is Carmen San Diego games sans the traveling. I gave it 5* because I couldn't in good conscience give it less than 4.5. I have only played the first case, so I assume it gets more difficult further along. Good stuff.
I don't like the fact that i have the most powerful gun at the beginning of the game, yet somehow the comp bots guns do about 10x as much damage and fire just as fast. This game could be good, but it seems like no one tested the game play after making it and just said "its a good thing," like Martha Stewart.
Okay game. Physics are too simplistic, though. The equal and opposite reaction is not 100% recoil. Kinda silly that my "tank" moves as far back when I fire as the guys getting hit do.
ugghhh. I am frustrated already. I can't figure out stage three. I feel retarded. The movement of the pieces, and what type of piece they "can" be doesn't make any sense. If I can't click and move the sections from one spot and get them to the other side of the form how am I supposed to connect something to that ball that is tucked away in the bottom left corner?
fun stuff - controls need to be overhauled 100% though. The target system with mouse movement is very flawed. I'm sure I could get used to it, but it is not very intuitive.
seems like it would be fun if it did not have the leaderboard in my face constantly, and didn't constantly push my character to the left. If those get fixed I'll change my rating.
One more thing - I agree with the accuracy upgrades not being necessary. If you were to make the upgrade simply increase the length of the guide line that would be awesome.
One suggestion if you make the multiplayer (if you didn't already). Make it so I always have control of the camera. It keeps jumping back to the shooter after I fire the missile so I don't get to see what happens.
Good game, but the tutorial is terrible.
It just sets up perfect situations and doesn't tell you anything about what towers you want where or if you should start out with lots of towers, or a couple highly upgraded towers. It is super easy to kill the waves when the entire stage is preset, but that makes it very difficult to transition into the actual game.
I get to the first solo level and I can't get a good run in. I have tried both building towers across and upgrading a few to start and neither way allows me to get even through the third wave (the regen baddies) without losing lives. If you are going to make a tutorial please have it actually give some info about the game, not just the basics of "this is a tower, this is an upgrade, this is a bad guy."
It is a bit too easy. The hardest achievements are the ones that require you to wait. I think a little more time developing a strategy for the baddies would have helped. Don't make the battles completely one dimensional. All there is to this game is standing at your balloon holding down, and then firing your weapon when the baddies come. You only need to sleep once. I was able to jump from the revolver all the way up to the M16, and the game is easy to finish up with just the M16 because it reloads WAY fast compared to the mini-gun. Which makes a little sense, but modern mini-guns don't take a whole lot of time to reload. Even though the chain gun holds a ton of bullets it is not worth the money because it runs out as fast as the M16 but takes long enough to reload that you get overrun. I have played through this game about 6 times now, and each time I find something that makes it just that much easier, when I should be finding things that make it more interesting or difficult even.
