Go to the armory, and there's a potion looking ikon that says "Use Consumable" to eat food.
I had gotten to the point that I was able to make the interest payment, but it was clear I was going to need a huge amount of time to actually pay off the principle. Also, there seems to be some sort of bug in the inventory system- I put a basic sword in my store, and I think it reproduced itself, or ate another item, or something, cause now I've got 8 of the silly things. And they're never selling, in spite of a weapons ++++ thing.
In theory, I like the game. In execution, not so much. And a bit of a pet peeve- calling monsters Mind Flayers? Really?
Ok, I'm getting to the point that I'm giving up. I've gotten 2 sets of characters up to the Frog Brothers...
Argh. Read leftylink's post on the walkthrough page... The Totems die with a single, direct attack, but are immune to area damage. Bleh.
You get all the races by winning a bunch of games. Look at "Scores" for details.
Ok, I've got nearly all the achievements. Great game. A few comments: (1) There may be a bug involving Mind Hack, I think I've lost between 1 and 5 cards to it when the computer plays it. (2) I know what all the cards do, and I still have trouble following the AI's play sometimes. Slow it down? Make it clearer? Dunno. (3) The technowall seems overpowered. (4) I still am not sure what the shield thing does, but if it reduces all damage to you, it seems a little weird.
And I agree with the show disabled ships comment [and by the way, the AI really likes disabling the same ship more than once]. And the multiplayer comments.
Cool atmosphere, not very interesting gameplay. I went Stark One, usually Intimidated the first round, then normal attack X2 with spear. Always got allies for equal fights [facing 3, got 2 allies]. Often no one on my team took any damage whatsoever, no one ever died. Had a little trouble hitting a guy with a high level chameleon power, but not much else.
I didn't have any major bugs, but it froze once during an enemy's attack.
I agree with most of the recent comments- cute and too easy. Flame is interesting, but in this case worse than worthless [the levels themselves are too short for one soldier to get significantly ahead of the pack, so you just end up with a group of fast guys.]
Yeah, I just finished the game on regular, and to get the final badge I have to first finish it on Elite, then two other campaigns? No thanks.
Killing the first boss can be done by increasing your armor, so he doesn't kill you on the first pass, or using the frost beam thing to slow him down, or backtracking and getting more points to improve everything.
Not terrible, but later on, 4-5 mages that make shields can get right next to each other and be completely invulnerable, unless you freeze time. Some path problems.
Ok, 83 of 120 awards. I can get a few by intentionally losing a fair number of games in a row, there are 5-6 awards that will eventually happen after playing forever, and I need try to win by tiny amounts. But the ones based on zilch-free wins seem to be the most difficult, with only one award out of 8-9 so far.
