Wtf? After a handful of trips into the dungeon, they just started coming right back into town after clearing the first level. They never go to any other levels!
This game is as fun as any other simple fly-around-and-hold-the-mouse-button style continuous shooter, but it's buggy as hell. The build-your-own weapons don't work AT ALL for me. The prices jump around at random when adding or removing features, sometimes saying at $1000 no matter what the setting is, and even when I make a weapon it just disappears as soon as I click on it to drag it over to my tank. Not good.
Since you get as much money for your remaining health as you do for the damage dealt during a round, just dump all your money into health upgrades and keep replaying the first round. Since the first round can always be won with a single rocket launch, meaning you won't ever lose any health, the money you make becomes nearly exponential as you just keep repeating that cycle until you're fully upgraded.
This game would be much less frustrating if there was more technique to scaring the people. For instance, if you scare someone, they should always run AWAY from you, never towards you. Maybe this is just a personal thing, but there's not a chance in hell I would continue walking calmly towards a floating chair.
Attn: Gauntlet Level 2: Defeating the Gauntlet requires absolute willpower. True. It takes a lot of willpower to keep from smashing in my monitor because this damn message pops up EVERY TIME I HAVE TO RESTART THE LEVEL. Seriously? Isn't once enough? The gauntlet levels are designed so that you'll die and restart frequently. So why show that stupid, useless message over and over and over and over? Just let me play, damnit.
If this game is all about flanking your enemies, then why isn't the flanking recognition more well defined? There are plenty of times when I have an enemy surrounded, but they are flanking me and plenty of other instances when I'm engaged in a head-to-head and am being flanked. It seems like flanking depends more on who has the larger army than on the position of the pixels. 3/5 for being fun but seriously flawed. Also, this game is really hard to control for such a fast-paced setting. Either make the controls more accurate and the scrolling faster, or slow the whole thing down.
