The Pros:
No hard fail, the increase to time is a good idea, rather than making it an insta-fail.
The zoom out mechanic so you can see where you are on the grand scheme (I don't know if this was intentional, but it means it's easier to plan a route).
The Cons:
Turning is a bit slow and though it makes for a harder game (which is good), it means a lot of the time hitting the edge of a barrier is unavoidable.
The biggest problem is the win mechanic. Hitting that small circle is almost impossible, and once your avatar goes off the screen, it's practically impossible to get him back. Make the outer barriers impenetrable, or make it a win condition to simply leave the right hand side of the maze.
Overall, a good attempt at a game for someone inexperienced in programming. It's not likely to get much attention on this site, but you should definitely keep working on this game and eventually it seems like it might make a really good mobile game.
Good luck :)
Is there somewhere I can go to download this game, so to be able to play it without internet? I do a lot of traveling where I don't have internet, and would like the chance to play this ALL THE TIME
I love this game so much. It's one of those games where, despite being VERY easy to win, it's still incredibly fun, and just challenging enough to be worth playing. Not to mention relaxing, with some decent tunes aswell. Rated 5 =]
I don't get it... I mean, why does my 10 'higher' bolts spell cost 1 more mana than my opponents when his also has 10 bolts. And why does he then also have a larger mana pool than I do. It's not so much that this game is hard... It's just I can see it becoming just a grindathon... No real skill involved.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't be bothered to spend any longer than the 45 minutes it took to get through the tutorial to get any further. (Who finishes a tutorial at level 36 though, honestly. The leveling system is crazy!)
Ok so on my first run through, I end with a tier 5 result of Brilliant Combat Tutor. With a score of 96085... Is that good? I mean, there's not way of comparing... There needs to be a leaderboard of the score is pointless.
Temples (Red), are seemingly weak before you get any upgrades. They are however brilliant when put at the beginning of a level, where they can get some early hits. They will also force ninjas to cloak (And because their fire is continuous, go straight to the next ninja, meaning none get past it)
Crypts (Blue) are great towers to place on the high points earlier in the game, it gives them a great range. However, as their strength is in one big hit (Then charging up their orbs for another) I consider Dens (Green) better for high points. They get decent range, and can hit for massive amounts if you get the bonus to damage for high point towers. Great for bosses and when ninjas have de-cloaked.
What annoyed me alot is, because I'm on a laptop my mouse occasionally spazzes out for seemingly no reason. This has lead to multiple occasions of accidentally selling one of my best towers. Perhaps add a "Are you sure" selection...
thanks, i know some of the problème you said. BUT what i want to do is test the hight-score AND it stil not work ! :-( sorry
