Using all paladins will get you through almost every level (combine 4). They can heal themselves and others. Spam speed and heal them whenever it's available.
The trick isn't to build large ships, it's to build a very high volume of small fighters and interceptors. You can build a massive army of small ships with only one large generator. You can get through almost every level using this strategy. It gives you a ton of breathing room in the beginning to stock up energy for stardocks and other larger structures.
Amazing game! I'd like to see more of a class distinction in the future. Classes only afford new abilities without any penalties. While it's important to have a healer, your mage can hit just as hard as your healer and your fighter. It would add a new layer of complexity to the team if there were trade offs and synergies. Otherwise great game, please expand!
The success has almost nothing to do with the management of the pets than it does with your aggressiveness with buying and selling. Set the entry price around 6-7 then just buy and resell monsters. With you extra cash you buy new recipes and pay off the costs with reselling the monsters after they're made. Once you get this process rolling you simply spend all your incoming cash on recreating new monsters. You can finish the game in a few months fairly easily.
I would love to see more development for this game. I think if you made it more story-based with different or multiple objectives the game would be amazing. Instead of killing someone every time maybe you need to break into rooms to get keys, turn off alarms, etc. Then you can add more security other than people (fixed camera, robots, etc). It would be more rewarding if you had to earn the assassination rather than simply killing someone every round; in other words, build up to the kill by having to get to the target.
Please stop slowing the boats down when they get near one another. It's terribly frustrating. Keep the game fast paced. Don't slow it down to make it easier. Make it fun. Fast is fun.
This game has so much potential it's unreal. It's waiting to explode into a whole lot of amazingness. You have the foundation, now add all the odds and ends that are going to make this game literally addicting. Put in achievements, upgrading system, a real trading system, quests/goals, factions, more dynamic ship characteristics, etc. Go all out and you will get 1million plays overnight.
Great game. Few suggestions for any sequels. The skele mages are broken. Once you get the crown that increases your Command +2, you can summon about 5 of them, they will rip through every level easily and you can sit back gathering mana tubes so you can summon more.
Needs: Hotkeys, FF buttons (multiple speeds), tooltips for units while in battle, toggle button for magic/units, minimap, fort upgrades... to just name a few. Thanks!
Few things you might want to consider changing: (1) Provide some indicator of which missions are complete and which aren't. (2) In the home base, provide a comparison between heroes so you can see if its worth hiring new ones without having to go back and forth. (3) Give new heroes serious upgrades or nerf the original heroes. There isn't enough of an incentive to buy new heroes after the old ones are upgraded unless you want to grind them up again.
