Aside from the updated graphics and annoying sound effect it is pretty much an old snake game. Note to developer: Add walls, level progression and a mute button and this could be a pretty decent snake game.
P.S. Classic mobile phone game? I was playing Nibbler in QBasic before I even knew what a mobile phone was.
I played through 5 levels without encountering anything that resembled a challenge. I then pressed the Menu button to see if I could turn the background music off and it ejected me to the title screen.
If looks were everything I'd have given this game a 5/5. But since the GUI is hard to navigate, there are no hotkeys and the gameplay is somewhat bland I have to rate it 3/5. Add some hotkeys and make it so that you get full experience even when one of your defenses kills an enemy and I'll reconsider my rating.
I commend you on making a flash version of Conway's Game of Life, but it runs way too slowly. Plus it's not really a game, per se, so it really doesn't belong on Kongregate.
Ok that was unfair; let me rephrase. The idea is good but the gameplay is b-l-a-n-d. Maybe if you could shoot, or speed the game up, or something to add action, it would be a bit more enjoyable. But as it is, it's boring.
Neat game. I would like to see some improvements on it though. Like, for example, sound. Also make a screen that comes up after you beat a level so that you don't accidently click the wrong button in the heat of play.
I hate the fact that you can't shoot through dying oponents. Your bullets wont go past them until they are completely dead. It makes spraying down a crowd with a machine gun useless. Otherwise it's a decent game.
I'd be better if you could strafe. As it is you have to head directly towards your enemy to fire at it which makes you quite the vulnerable target and extremely limits your ability to form any worthwhile strategy.
I like the music and the fact that you play as an olive shooting pementos at other veggies. Otherwise I don't really like the game too much because, as it has been said, there's no challenge or even a sense of one.
