Setting aside the cycles getting stupid in "that" third track turn (which is a thing), the biggest artificial difficulty factor is the limited re-specing. I can't move a point from, say, Acceleration to Population, and that's unfortunate.
I'm sitting here, waiting to grind to 82k so I can try the third track again, and my biggest fear is that I assign the point to the wrong category and I'm just going to have to grind twice as long to try again because of that.
Guess I'm paused until I see if there's late-game content coming past Iron Claymore. On the bright side, I usually quit these games before I get to this point, so that speaks well do what you built.
So, your tech tree needs a lot of work. 1) It progresses so slowly that you don't see much benefit. 2) You seem to put putting off things that are good early investments until later. Like, I can't even get the bonus EXP tech until 12th level.
There was a bug with the tooltip positions, so maybe the positions weren't the intended ones. Nevertheless I've added a tooltip toggle in the settings menu. I hope this solves the problem.
I changed the tooltip positions with the latest update. I hope that gives the advantages of the tooltips without hiding important information. Please give me feedback when you think a disable tooltip option is still necessary.
So... the most fun part of the game, blowing stuff up, doesn't happen if you're playing the game well. That's a mistake I see in this sort of game often.
I like what this game wants to be, but it's got some serious design issues to overcome. If touching the level numbers equals death, you really can't spawn a goal on the level numbers and have it be fair. Also, sending you back to the beginning, back to level one doesn't work. You need shorter iteration cycles than that to get people to play.
So, I kick in a couple of bucks for ryos; I'm playing the game enough after all. Then after I buy them, I realize the truth. Unlike every other game with permabuffs of this sort, purchased buffs last for 30 minutes. 30. Fwcking. Minutes. That is new levels of balls.
