Not bad at all, also it remembers me of some game I played some months ago... don't remember it's name. Music is great, just make sure to put a key to toggle it on/off. Small things, perhaps you may change the instructions font, as Times New Roman doesn't look very good on it. Also it'd be a good idea to warn players that switching between windows or pressing the "Windows" button will result in fail (very good one, as players can't exploit that bug to pass over things). As you said I wont vote until I see your upgrades, but you are going the right way. Good job!
I always liked playing parodies of other games. Your concept is very good, and with some work, this game can go far. There's always hot-new games, thus there's always space for new parodies. Some suggestions: In 1st person RPG it's very easy to get lost, hence a map can be very useful. Perhaps something to upgrade weapon damage? Your animations can do better, we are talking about developers creations after much time of work, thus a good parody should make funny of them but in a way devs can laugh at it too, perhaps you can ask someone to help you with that. Keep going, I like to see a v2.0 of your game!
There's no "world of insanity and danger" out there, it's just the world that lives in every child's imagination. Excellent work, very good drawings, a very intuitive game (perfect for those 4-10 year old kids). You can see how innocence and good feelings are present in each part of the story. 5/5 well deserved.
