this "game" lasted all but 5 minutes at most, and although i liked the graphics, thats all i liked as there was nothing to it. A tiny 'escape' type game, and-POOF, its over!
Why the different name than Castaway and Castaways 2 that are on this site? its the exact game - just fine tuned, and its only "mini" because after one pet-animal quest (which these games are all usually free to play at KONG btw,) your 'game' is over as you are NOW then "Welcome" to play the actual game for $.... AS for the actual game, I didnt have to pay for the games before, and im not going to now (I already pay more than enough in monthly internet connection charges, and guessing by the numbers played, im not alone overall). But i'd for sure recommend this if you can buy it, you will enjoy. The only thing i actually didnt like is not enough space in the inventory. I just got started and i already had to dump many things i wanted to sell for gold. I like the choices for fixing your home, etc.
I never got why we were coming back and forth to the lady baker in scene 4 since she was soooo slow, we never got anything from her. It didnt go with the rest of the story, that was more productive, as in moving forward to a goal. The only thing I really dont like is the game was toooo short, lol. I enjoy the escape-quest type games.
at first I didnt like the graphics and once I started playing, the first time I played for hours I got so caught up in the game. While there is some clicking, theres not nearing as much as peoples comments alluded too since you can also just buy food too. I found that if i did a little clicking at the first of the scene, then moved my cursor quickly to the left, then id get more stuff. I like the hidden city in that going there EACH time gets new stuff in the chest. The !st Green Leaf Master person was too hard to beat, imo, there shouldve been other places-quests to go to build up my beasts than the hidden city. I wouldve also liked to have named the main character -like the animals, and been given the choice to be a female (thinking-typing outloud...why do most games have male only characters? hmmm) Anyway, liked the store options. In a way, the game reminded me of "The Oregon Trail" games which i enjoyed.
as a female who loves games like this i have to be honest... I see NO point for the house, or the actual physical upgrade of the training room as, it doesnt seem to have any actual relevance to the game. I DONT like that there are no quests or adventures either, and no idea what the secrets are "???". What i do like, is the graphics and the side training 'games' and many choices on upgrading the character points. I also like collecting money while we are gone, because if not... the prices would be TOO high-the higher levels you get... the monsters were cool, as in different each battle.
Each House upgrade boost your XP and Money incomes (bottom left corner, a panel indicate your multipliers), it's basically a must have. As for Training room, it's the other most important upgrade since it increase +1 the stats point you earn by filling up the top bar. (+1, +2, +3, etc.). This is crucial to train faster, the Upgrade button tool tip indicates it. I guess those features weren't clear enough, thanks for the feedback.
The lack of Quest/Exploration/Adventure will be fixed in the sequel, which will happen on a world map!
Glad you enjoyed the rest of the game :)
i get the illogical comments! i try even the most nonsensical combinations and get nothing. i want to do the game with no help but im at the oint i dont think i can, plus i hate when i click to go somewhere on a path and it wont go nowhere-whats the point of the path in the first point! silly childish dialogue at sime points, then major opposite dialoges in others... from pbj to ssasination n drug dealing? naaa - not liking that. I do like the graphic however.
I dont know how many rpg games the previous commenters have played but I have to assume not many to think this game is very good. It has the feel of in the 80's when a game juust came out of basic and into windows. Prolem is this isnt the 80's, its 2014 and to even still be using w.s.a.d. keys are irritaing. I'm not left handed and those keys on a qwerty are on the left keypad. If i use the arrows, i still have to use the enter, the esc, etc. way too old school. Its pretty close to being turn based. theres no clear story, and no clear graphics. Half the time playing the game is going down dead ends (very slowly) around all those cut down logs that made no sense to be there. I could go on but theres really no pint. I dont understand why ANYONE puts a GAME as if its fully functional which is far from it (esides the ending, theres plenty of reminders not to use the mouse, etc). It should still be in development and or in beta testing, but it isnt ready for full game play at all.
Aside from not having an ending, I really don't understand any of your complaints. What keyboard bindings are you used to, exactly?
I wanted to make an RPG that I would like to see more of on flash game websites. I want tons of sidequests and customization and exploring and fast-paced battles that aren't turnbased. I did all that and more.
As for the ending, i released the game because I don't intend to finish it and I didn't want to have all that time developing go to waste. There's still hours of gameplay.
