I have finished tech win with 80 areas uncovered a couple of times, and maybe could do a little better with good enough luck.
I try to get a map with very good starting lumber, some possibility for magic, and two isolated rocks diagonal from each other in an open area near water. I aim to finish with 2 mine cities, 2 port cities, 3 cities or some small variation on that, and I plan where to put them when I'm deciding whether or not to play a particular map. I generally upgrade one of the rocks all the way, whichever will be next to more cities.
The tech production bonus applied to neighbors of mine and port cities is key. The dock bonus applies half of the attached port bonus to everything on the entire body of water the dock is in, including the port it's attached to as well as things that are already getting the full port bonus by being next to the port.
sorry, I meant to write (#remaining/#start)^(1/2)*original radius, with ^(1/2) instead of ^2 - the idea is that the remaining area should be proportional to the remaining enemies.
You should change how the size of the living cell scales with the number of enemies left. The radius should be (#remaining/#start)^2*original radius, instead of (#remaining/#start)*original radius. It will look much better.
challenges are too easy, since you can pick as few cards as you want. Also, it's dumb to make you lose when you run out of cards, but make it so easy not to run out.
Thanks for letting me know, I will try to fix this as soon as possible. Edit: fixed.
