tho not a fan of the scarf and difficulty swings a little... easy for most the game if you take your time, a few dangerous but not hard bits (lots of enemies with blasters basically) and then the occasional hard bit (machine on the missile).
Should be a sizeable score bonus for either ammo remaining at the end of levels or time taken, and stop giving score for wiping easy enemies that respawn infinitely (e.g. the first place with a spike on a crane).
best addition to the genre since heliattack 3. Shares the same weakness in the scoring system though, your score is ultimately determined by your patience not skill. 5/5 fave
Absolutely terrible system of powerup loss on death. Many manic shooters have this, but the slippery slope here is taken to the furthest extreme. Could care less if it's not retro, lmb should toggle fire. 3/5
great concept and generally well executed but but I'm completely failing at trying to get the keys to link intuitively with the colours - seeing as this is a puzzle game, a slowmo toggle would be appreciated.
good but too unforgiving. later on, get hit once and by the time you've recovered the screen will be blank and there'll be a bunch more shurikens headed for you, most other features add to the game but shurikens detract imo
With such a close clone of a legendary game it's pretty unsurprising the way to improve this would be to make it more like the original. The lack of pace kills this, it's also too zoomed in, enemies' inertia is replaced for decreased speed. The explosions obscure enemies in an uncompromising way geo wars' don't. I got the impression you can play for as long as you want to without getting gameover if you actually use your bombs.
