Fun game but ran into a bug. It says to find diamonds with 2 keys but has put me on a map with no chest - it's the bonus map that usually has things running to the end where you have 3 lives and have to try and kill as many as possible.
Needs to hit enemies on top of you. With Minigun or MFG, if a fast purple zombie is on you you die unless you get back to machete.
Fun game other than that, the leveling near the end got tiring, maybe some attribute points to assign to attributes to make it feel more worthwhile?
In my opinion, easiest way to kill/farm last boss:
Get the following skills: Pistol Whip (knocks him back nicely if he gets up to you), Speed Reload, Expand Mag, Electric Punch (states nowhere that it is melee only, if you don't want it then switch for something else). Make sure you get all the range upgrades (damage, critical, etc) and use the Gauss Rifle. Either have Flamethrower (for fun and knockback) or Power Gloves for secondary weapon. Stick far left, then just sit there and shoot the boss till he dies. If any enemies get in the line of fire they will die while you continue to kill the boss. If for some reason he gets up to you (most of the time he shouldn't) Pistol Whip should knock him back enough, otherwise use your secondary weapon and switch back when you have some space between him.
Just wanted to provide some feedback on what I think could be changed:
- The dog can be useful but most of the time he runs around or jumps, doing nothing. It'd be nice if he just followed you and attacked the enemy attacking you/the enemy you attack.
- Overgrind SHOULD unlock after completing "Final Zone". For now it’s pointless, especially when you already have everything. I have $22000 sitting around now, that would have been useful for the "Upgrade Complete" badge, giving overgrind a purpose.
- HP from the chests felt pointless, 10hp would have been nice making it worthwhile as opposed to the 2hp boost which made almost no difference.
- It'd be nice to have some sort of statistics to see the difference between weapons and the damage increase from chests.
- The fact enemies jump around so frequently just gets tiring and frustrating, making it an undesirable challenge. It'd be nice if it was less frequent, more so when they can see you.
Good game overall, enjoyed most of it.
All programmers are lazy as we know, we like to do things the easiest way. While I won't state the flaws of some of the retarded patterns for functions to do it the most 'optimal' (highest scoring) way, I will ask: where is the copy-the-nearest-tile-I-click-on key as part of the controls so that I can place tiles with as little effort as possible?!
Should require holding left-click as well as hovering over to eat. Can't say how many times I've accidentally skimmed over a sumo and lost him for feeding on accident.
Quite a few small bugs that ruin the gameplay. Drones accuracy is almost flawless and aiming is a pain in the ass while trying to fly, fighting is ruined by the control of the vehicle and aiming system.
Is quite fun but gets boring fast, need to spread the levels out starting with way shorter waves so that you aren't completely tired of it by the 3rd level.
Spawning and map logic is pathetic, if you make a multiplayer shooter at least learn fair spawning and tactical mapping.
The gameplay is more about the hp and weapon rather than skill and the maps are too poorly made to add any true fairness.
I didn't think I would like it but I actually enjoyed it, enough to try it the second time after completing it just to upgrade everything.
Here are my tips to improve it a bit more without really needing to write anymore code:
The stronger enemies should drop more ether (don't need to make new ethers, just need to make the stronger ones drop 1 or 2 more), and the sun protectors should drop a bunch of ether for the effort of destroying them.
I can kill the sun with half of the upgrades and unless I sit there just pounding everything that comes out of it for 20 minutes I don't get near to upgrading everything. My suggestion is leave it as it is with the extra ether bonuses and after killing the first sun, 3 suns spawn that you have to wipe out to win (keeping the level of enemy that they have already been upgraded to). Doing this means by the time all 4 have been destroyed you will actually have everything upgraded.
Other than that it was a good game, thanks.
