I'm afraid I have to say it as well; great game (several improvements over the last version), but the music is ... well, it's bad. Don't get me wrong, I _like_ indie music -- this isn't indie, it's amateur. Here's hoping the fourth shows further improvements. 4/5 Stars

@Retrospek - It's true that there's a lot you can do with SQL; it's a great language for the domain it serves. Interactive applications, however, is not in that domain. Even Haskell would be easier in that respect, though I'd probably be more inclined to try to do something in a Lisp or in Erlang. Though, if SQL as a programming language was interesting to you, though, you might want to look into Prolog sometime...

@Kinglink - I'd actually be rather impressed by anyone who wrote a game in SQL, since that would mean that they'd somehow coerced a non-Turing Complete _query language_ into an effective programming language. Double-plus kudos to them! As far as this game goes, the author made some stylistic decisions - which is his prerogative as author. The gameplay is deliberately simple (more DDR than GH). The art is deliberately simple. The sequences you "play" are disconnected from the music that plays in order to - get this - keep it simple. Yet while this isn't anything like playing an instrument, as you point out, neither is Guitar Hero. IT'S A GAME.

I've enjoyed this game a quite a bit, and I must say, the biggest downside I've found is that for a game with two minute rounds, I've lost _hours_ of my life. Brilliant, if simple, premise. Great execution. 5 Stars.

It's difficult to figure out where to 'clic' to start the game, since there's no obvious place to do so, and you require people to click the word 'here'. The same could be said for the game over screen. Starting a (presumably) fact-based quiz with an entirely subjective question is generally considered unwise. As mentioned before, the grammar could stand to be reviewed. The "game's" victory screen is also fairly dull, and getting there not terribly difficult (even for someone who doesn't _own_ a TV).

A pretty good game overall. The controls feel a little off at first, but you learn to compensate (the instructions might want to make mention of that fact). Speaking of which, nice touch making first time players go through the instructions _first_. As far as critiques go, the artwork has a little room for improvement still, and I would be interested in seeing some different enemy types. All in all, good job!

FunkyPear: Well executed; details like the achievements add a fair bit of replay value. The lack of a menu key / button or quick way to leave the current Round is a little obnoxious, especially for those trying for score. Keep up the good work. 4 / 5 stars.

I'd also like to take a moment here to step back and shed some perspective on the situation. The guy comes here and offers you a free game. The game isn't bad. It's perhaps not the most original concept, and the execution might be a little rough, but it's still pretty decent. It's not a 5-star game, perhaps, but things are pretty consistent and its playable. And you ungrateful lot come here to complain that he got the _math_ wrong? What kind of people are you? I mean, I can appreciate the differences in gravitational algorithms and all, but this is a *game*, not a freaking _physics simulation_. You learn to accept the quirks in the implementation as domain rules for the game. That's not to say he doesn't deserve feedback; you don't make fewer mistakes if you don't know that you're making them at all. Even so, the larger part of the "feedback" he's being given presently is angry, vengeful, bitter, and worst, _criticizing him for meeting his design goals_. I weep for this generation.

"I'm retiring today. After 49 levels, being a world-ruling millionaire with a loyal army of Black Samurai just doesn't seem ... _fun_ any more. I mean, sure, I could still go questing from time to time (and the rewards aren't bad), but after a while you just want it all to end, ya know? I've decided to settle down in my hometown of Omi and take up some small hobby. Maybe 'shuffleboard'. Or 'pool'." - Diary of Sieg, Emperor of the World
