Needs to indicate how much money people are asking for. My first day, I had a request that deducted 3 gold, followed by two that deducted 100 and put me in the red. 100+ were actually pretty rare for the rest of the game.
Instead of erasing the previous input string every time, you could maybe add an easymode option that retains them so you can backspace and edit as needed. Definitely don't do it all the time though.
This really needs more exposure. Awesome Touhou-alike. One suggestion though is to be a little more careful about background decoration. The wispy circles in stage 1 and the stars in stages 3/4 outright look like bullets, and the background in stage 5 is so noisy things are hard to see in general. Also a boss location indicator on the far left edge would be a nice quality-of-life thing.
Game is fun, but the iframe has scrollbars. You're properly stopping key events from bubbling out so at least it doesn't cause annoying scrolling ingame.
Yep, definitely 9 deaths possible on One Final Bat. Bat, rockpit, big pit, eye monster, goblin, wall monster, arrow, arrow + big pit, arrow + eye monster. The final one isn't coded, though the default message was funny.
Ha, well it wasn't intended, but I'm actually glad the 'glitch death message' was available somewhere. I think I'll leave it in (for now) so that other people can stumble across it and get the satisfaction of outsmarting me.
I got an "Unknown" death on On Final Bat by getting hit by the eye monster an an arrow. It seemed to count for the death counter, but the message implies it's a glitch and I don't see it in the menu list. Moreover, I'm not sure what the 8th death on that level is supposed to be :/
This was aggressively stupid. A secure safe containing nothing but a hammer, some glue, and some coins. Melt ice by smashing a hole in the wall (why not just keep smashing to get out of the room?). Cut open a wheel of cheese to find a SCREWDRIVER. It's not difficult by any stretch, but it makes no goddamn sense.
Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate the game. A boss location indicator is indeed a good idea, I'm going to implement it ^^
