I was very confused by Spark Aquatic Hard 2. gamerscul9870's guide was almost right, but you have to discard the first magnetic bot before the last hover bot. Otherwise the hover bot "uses up" your only opportunity to ride the elevator up, and the final magnetic bot never makes the journey.

Had a lot of trouble using the balloon to do 18. What finally worked for me was hitting the car with the actual balloon part over and over (not with the basket).

Maybe it's just the version of Chrome/Flash I'm using, but I can't draw cuts that go outside the "screen", which makes it very hard to get >50% on 7 with two slices. =/

While I know that this isn't really an "educational" game, per se, I think it would be nice to have a little bit more of a description of how it works. It looks like that these bikes are neural networks that are being evolved with a genetic algorithm, and that the fitness function is some combination of how far the bike goes, and how quickly it gets there. But I'm just inferring that based on how the game seems to work.

I found that on level 4 the bikes got "stuck" crashing into early walls and started doing really poorly, so I had to go back and train them on level 3 again, and they did better after "forgetting" and then relearning level 3. If your bikes can't make it past a certain level, training on an earlier one for a little while might be a way to get better without retiring.

It's possible in Quadrants to get hit by two arrows and dragon fire at the same time as you fall in the pit, which the game doesn't like. =)

Developer response from WigDev

Thanks for letting me know - I've fixed it now so that two arrows are treated the same as one, which was my original intention. Well spotted though!

Breaking the glass before travelling in time actually doesn't break your game. You have to coax the bird in with a song.

Thank you, downvote brigade. You've reminded us all that, if you mention something bad that happened to you on the internet, there will always be self-righteous jerks on hand to tell you that it's your own fault. "Someone forgot to save for a couple of days? EMPATHY IS A WEAKNESS. CULL THE WEAK. SHAME THE IMPURE. CONSUME THEIR SOULS."

I just lost a save. My computer crashed for unrelated reasons (recently upgraded graphics driver and it was buggy). When I reloaded I was back to square one. My guess is that since this game autosaves pretty frequently, and only keeps one save file at a time unless you manually export, crashing during a save will corrupt the file and cause it to start over next time you log in. Regardless, saving manually is apparently a good idea.

Upgrades are very expensive, and there's no way to respec once you realize that a bad decision makes it difficult to beat further levels (yes, even with early unit rushes). There's also, if not a memory leak, at least something weird that happens at the beginning of a level sometimes (not any particular level, just randomly). The game maxes out CPU usage and slows down dramatically until I reload it, which on my system also causes weird stuttering on the audio. I really like this kind of game, but the performance issues and unforgiving upgrade system kind of kill it.

Oh, and don't bother trying to get par on your first win on the minigame level. You can replay it and then walk straight into the door right away, without playing the minigame again at all, which gives you way under the par time.

I hate the little arcade minigame, but I did find a way to psych myself out to make it easier. I covered part of the screen so that I actually couldn't see the poos coming, but I could still see the bottom flap of the boxes. Was a bit easier to get the timing right when all I could see were the boxes.

On D#2, I just randomly got it after a long time of alternating. I suspect that the flow rate is exactly enough to win, so the only way to succeed at D#2 is to leave it on for a long time and wait for some kind of lag or rounding error or something.

I eventually got badges but they took a long time to catch up to where I actually was. If you don't get a badge at first, you can try just waiting a bit or refreshing the page I guess.

I got to 15 Brilliant levels really slowly, finally getting it at level 34, with 2905 exp. left over. I calculate this as being 59,005 experience so far, with 22,995 experience remaining to max out at level 41. In other words, in order to get Overlord, I'd have to do almost 40% as much as I've already done, with no further achievements in the meantime, no new maps or abilities and no new talents except the ones that I wanted the least (gem portal after I've already got 15 Brilliant levels? whoop-de-doo...). Pretty sure I'm not going to bother grinding that out.

I thought that the Wisdom badge was based on number of turrets, but that seems to be wrong. Further testing (playing level 1 over and over with various configurations) seemed to show that it is based on turret placement, but it is not so much that putting them in the right place gets you the badge, but rather you don't get it if you place a tower in a "wrong" place. But then I stopped being able to get the Level 1 Wisdom Badge at all, because when I did the exact things that used to work, they no longer did. At this point, I think that the reason no one can figure it out is because it either a) is somehow time-sensitive, or more likely b) is ridiculously buggy.

I like it, but trying to improve the rating by offering new features? The rating is supposed to reflect how much people actually like the game. It's pretty cheap and annoying trying to rig it or bribe people. Not to mention that the only people who actually care that much if you make more, are probably going to be the ones who would have rated it four or above anyway; if you want a higher rating, make the game as good as possible before release.

The bug where things freeze up, random floors disappear (only to fade back in and out at random), and there's no save file really kills what was otherwise a pretty entertaining endeavor. If it says it saves every day, it should actually do that for sure. Otherwise, it should let you save manually.
