Math, I completely agree with you about more unit diversity. Also, volcanoes, which are irtraversible terrain will be added when the game goes out of beta. Also, 4 player maps have less strategy then 2p because in 4p the player who plays defense always wins. There are rarely any exceptions.
tigerlilly, the "inconsistencies" with damage are actually the terrain boosts. Different types of terrain give different types of defense boosts, which are often enough to change a ohko to a 2hko. Also the lower a units hp, the less damage it does. As for the oil rigs, that is a description error, not a gameplay error.
In response to tiger lilly's comment: 1. this is intentional. 2. this means you gained less then 1 moral 3. this means that the unit used to attack your stealth was a commando, that's the commando's ability and I'm not sure about 4.

When the lancer tank attacks, its second shot is unable to kill anything. It instead puts the attacked unit's hp to somewhere in the negatives, and the unit can function normally and must be attacked again to be killed. I have lost many games due to the lancer's second attack not killing war machines.
The spider tank is far too situational to be of any use. Something needs to be about its stats, as it currently stands the only thing the scorpion doesn't outclass it in is the ability to traverse mountains.
