HERE IS HOW YOU PLAY CHINESE CHESS:
The goal is to kill the enemy general and keeps yours alive. These are the pieces:
Soldier: They can only move forward in a straight line, until they cross the river. Then they can move sideways too, but never backwards.
Horse: Use it like a knight in normal chess. Imagine that it moves straight 2 spaces before it moves the the side, because if it is blocked, it can't move.
Chariot: Use like a rook in normal chess
Bodyguard: Can move diagonally within the 4-square-area
General: Can move sideways and forward in the 4-square-area. If the 2 generals are the only ones in the same column, the next player can use his general to kill the enemies'
Cannon: Can move like a rook but to attack, there must be another piece between and and the target
Advisor: Can move diagonally 2 squares at a time.
I hope finishing this game won't take too long. I have a habit of exploring every single place, talking to every single person, finding every chest, killing every monster, and buying every item. After seeing the gridlike map, I expect some annoying backtracking. Bringing back the quest menu would be good.

This game is made by one of the co-creators of Super Meat Boy, Edmund McMillen. His games are all weird or disgusting in some way. Google "The Binding of Isaac".
Great topic, horrible execution. Having read ROTK and knowing quite a bit about the Three Kingdoms Era, this is just horrible. Adding story to this game like in Epic War 1 & 2 would be great. More of the generals should be unique. Each of the characters in this game are very important in history, yet many dont even have unique skins. Having skills or attacks related to their weapons and history would be great. I think this kind of strategy/defense game is not suited to the topic, which is really the only stand out part of the game.
