That was great. It's amazing how complex these puzzles can get on a 3x10 grid, but all of the levels managed to be fair, yet extremely challenging, which was awesome. Kong need more puzzle games like this. :P
So I still really prefer this game to The Company of Myself, not because they "copied" it or whatever (I'm sure that this concept was created a very very long time ago), but because the quality of the puzzles in this game is so much better. The Company of Myself, simply put, is not a puzzle game. The only levels that required you to think were the last two, and even so, they were more about platforming skills than puzzle skills. Sure, it had a good story, but if that's the best part of the game, it shouldn't be in the Puzzles section. This game, on the other hand, begins to challenge your brain past, like, the 6th level, and the pause ability is really awesome and adds even more to the "puzzling experience".
Meh, I really dig the music and the graphics are polished, but this game is one of those "play it once and you're done" games, since once you get all the upgrades and beat all the levels, there's really nothing more you can do. Not to mention that the difficulty needs to be made a lot harder (well, compared to other shmups, at least). And I don't want to go off-topic, but I must still say that Frantic, on the other hand, has insane difficulty modes+tons of more options+survival mode, which is why I still play it a couple times a week. So yeah, I think this is a good, polished game, but not something I'm crazy about. 4/5
Just as fun as the first one. Levels 22 and 23 were certainly my favorites, since they really show how a simple concept can be applied in very creative ways. Also, by accident, I found a really lame way of beating level 24 in one click: Place the thin rectangle so that its top-right corner touches the top of the second circle from the bottom.
Oh, and if anyone is having trouble with bosses on hard/epic, some tips are to keep auto-life up (especially on matt), and get defensive skills like counter, aerial support/secret weapon, cat tamer/warrior, survivor for matt, and bunny!/bunny!!!, counter, evasion for natz. Counter+blood sword work great with matt. Then, during the bosses, you can defend most of the time and have your skills do the rest.
Awesome game. The art is very good, and overall, the attention to detail amazes me. The mini-games are somewhat superficial, but still fun, and the music is also decent. 5/5, and can't wait for the third one!
This game is great. Had the perfect amount of levels (didn't get boring and was interesting the whole time), there was lots of variation, graphics are extremely good, and most importantly, it is very fun. 5/5 for sure, I'm surprised the rating isn't higher.
24 was probably the only level that I especially enjoyed playing, since it was pretty much the only one that required you to think. Still a very decent game though, and the concept is very original. I really would have liked to have seen the idea of "collect exactly 42" used in a larger variety, though, so 4/5
And also, like others have said, you should probably fix the running off the map=instant death. That happened to me twice when I was really close to getting 4 stars in 1947. :P
Incredibly awesome and addicting game. The main thing that I did not like is that the AI is really dumb sometimes (i.e. flying directly into poison gas while trying to chase me, even though it should know that it will crash because of it). And also, there's not much replay value once you've beaten the game with every star. So yeah, I think multiplayer would be a great idea, and a sandbox mode where you can make your own scenarios would be pretty cool as well. Overall a great game, and it kept me hooked until I finished it.
I'll just quote Jim Sterling of destructoid: "Your game can be a broken, waffling, irritating mess, but if you call it an artistic endeavor, there will be an army of pretentious Internet professors defending it and telling dissenters that they just don't understand." Games are supposed to be fun, and although this may be touching for some people, it's certainly not fun. Maybe this could be called interactive art, but not a game. That being said, though, it is well-designed and it does appear that the developer put effort into it, so it gets a 3/5 from me.
I like it, the concept of a gamer getting all of his emotions back is a great idea. Didn't really affect me personally, but it was a very enjoyable game, and everything that you had to do was logical and made sense. The shop at the end was a brilliant idea. 4/5 from me.
The zombie locksmith has like a 1% chance of dropping a weapon called the keyblade. It's not worth it to keep restarting until you get it, as it's really not that strong (only 26 attack).
Once you get past the first 8 levels or so without losing a life, you can pretty much beat the whole game without any problems. Overall, it's a pretty boring and repetitive game with a pretty bad difficulty curve, even though the super monkeys are win. :P 3/5
How I got the impossible badge: Get the hard badge, take screenshots of all of the hole-in-one spots, and try to move the mouse into the exact position while looking at the screenshot. Yeah, I have no life. :P Well, at least I got the hard badge legitly...
Amazing game, loved the concept as well as all of the power-ups, almost all of which are very original and implemented well. Heck, pretty much every part of this game is implemented well. Like others said, the difficulty curve isn't that great, but who cares when you're collecting a million power-ups and owning anything that comes onto the screen. :D
5/5 and fav'd
