First beaten with a Necromancer in 57 minutes. Farm critters with the staff + Toxic Attunement, using Lifespike on ranged or tough enemies. I skilled Focus and Necromancy equally until about 10, then put points into Fortitude since HP = MP with Cannibalise. Incredibly useful is the Warrior book for the skill which increases Fortitude's HP gains. Finally, pick up Poison Cloud for an easy way to wipe large groups.
Something about the music and style still grabs me years after the first time I played this game. Eerily haunting, maybe taking me back to early memories of D&D adventures. Good stuff. A sequel would be very welcome. Manticore/vamp/gym spam with tough as nails Death Knight blocker to win.
I'm going old school necro. Using only skeleton warriors and the resurrect spell with the undead knight hero. Nothing beats building your forces up for a little while and then steamrolling everything. Holy knights get boned!
gotta love the way their fire support always hits you in your weakest spot, yet your artillery is more likely to blow one of your men into hell than one of theirs
