Yeah, six moves to my one, the AI never attacks each other in a meaningful way, and always places their units into the territory that I am about to attack. Then for some rason, I have 16 armies attacking one unit, lose one guy, and then stop the attack and fall back with 15 armies...WTF? Still, great first effort. I applaud your attempt and it is SO MUCH better than so many othr first tries. Keep at it, you will only get better with time.
Not sure if it is there and I am missing it, but I would like to know what each characters ranking are in their secondary gun skills - like reload, etc. How do I look at those scores?
It would be a good game with some design tweaks. Some basic elements fail the "wtf" test. Like the watchtower only works on melee units, all you need are upgraded riflemen to win, etc. The people who find this game hard are the people used to more complex strategy games where a distribution of unit types are required here. Here, just buy a windmill, and the parts to buy upgraded riflemen, and eventually the cannon if you feel like making it end faster and you are done.
Good game, I liked it although a lot of the upgrades are pointless (like skeletons) and Samurai are overpowered (once you have them you won't use Gladiators or Knights anymore). Just make the occasional wall at bottle necks, 4 soldier and magic upgrades each, and make everything else a giant. The only time I used the covering fire ability was at the very end, where it comes in very useful, actually.
Not a game, but 5 stars for the wonderful animation and the music is also a big plus. Story was alright, but there is not much build up to attach yourself to the character since it is so short. Still pretty good.
I have to admit, I liked the game itself - a rather unique puzzler. Also, the story was rather good, and the sound (although repetetive) is of good quality. 5/5
