Issues with lag (forced to exit to exit/re-open game several times just to make it playable) really killed this game. Unresponsive key presses, having the player take 5 seconds to complete a jump, running after a key is released, all made it a very frustrating experience. I'd suggest anyone playing after reading this restart their browser each level after 20 until this issue is addressed. One level which should have taken 5 minutes to complete ended up being stretched to 5 times that amount.
Please have someone who is a native speaker proof-read your work. Something as simple as improper English can really detract from how professional the game looks.
Would be a much better game if the missions were more involved/interesting. As it is, there are only two types of missions, bring back to base and kill, neither of which is difficult. Add variety and challenge.
I would suggest putting labels on the items you collect (I mean that you should be able to see name of the item below it or when you hover over it in your inventory). Just walking back and forth through multiple frames is annoying (add zip feature like myst) . Also, I don't need to see a cut scene every time I go between terminals (once time showing the cut scene then just bringing you to the other area without pause). Those are my suggestions. Otherwise it was a fairly good game.
Ways to improve the game...1) The cursor and the tiny size of the map are terribly imprecise (especially with how greatly little differences in distance from a city can decrease your score). This, combined with the tiny map size and really fast timer make it frustrating when trying to pinpoint cities you know cold. 2) Why the heck is the timer after answering so quick? If I want to learn where the city really is, why are you making it so difficult to associate the name with the place by pulling it away in a few seconds? 3) The map is TINY. Little islands are really hard to see with certain color schemes. Make it bigger (maybe scrollable)? 4) Nice touch putting the names in their original language (so many comments on here are by people claiming you misspelled Africa) BUT this isn't as useful for learning the geography as it would be in English for the whole time. Want to go the extra step? Put in a toggle switch for English/Native.
