Advance skills made the game way too easy. before that it was challenging and fun and rewarding. afterwards it was ruined. 5/5 before advanced skills 3.5/5 with advanced skills. With that said. it's one of the most creative and fun new games on kong in a while so great job.
Thanks for the feedback! Yep I knew it was going to make the difficulty curve a lot easier but I want to note a few things. Most of the players who already had a good grasp of the mechanics like yourself have already beaten the game, but there are still others struggling with the difficulty and speed of the game. Secondly because this is a prototype, I think it's more important to show the full concept of the game to as many people as possible so that they can see it's potential. I totally hear you though, I play very hardcore games myself and if a game is too easy, then you won't be motivated to explore different builds/tactics/etc. So because of all the above, I'd like to opt for an easier game, give a taste of what kinds of systems a full game might have, and then when a final version does come around, it'll most likely have various challenge modes per map (like a TD) that'll give players like you and I a chance to really show off our skills :)
The last level is crappy. Levels are excessively hard. Upgrades cost too much. Sudden death levels are crap. Timed levels have horribly low times. This game is really not very good. Wasted a bunch of time playing it cause it was kinda fun and I wanted to beat it but the last level sucks so bad.
A progress bar on achievements would be nice. Big skeleton boss was way to difficult for the level it was on. The rolls weren't coming very easily when i was trying to go sideways. Not sure if it's the game or my computer. The game is fun and has a lot of potential. Right now its a 3.5 stars for me!
What really annoyed me was that it would say x5 or x10 but it would only be x1. I think this is just an oversight by the creator. Also a world map would be nice. 4/5.
Runs slow. The instructions are poor. No good idea of what anything does. If you are looking for a good example of a match 3 fighting game look at king's guard or biogem. 2/5
I hear yah! it can mos-def be easy for some of the more skilled players. I added a hard mode but the core of the game was tuned to be easy. I thought about a major reprogramming of it but the amount of work would be better if put into a sequel. Fear not, I hear the comments and should be making something you will enjoy if you like challenges. Best, -Tim
On infestation level I found a glitch where if you have a lot of carriers and they keep being infected before you can kill the infectious stuff the level won't end! Please fix this. Something like the computer surrenders after a minute with no main base.
