Get Random shot hitters for your backrow. You'll get more bang for your buck that way. Make the potions for the special monsters faster by getting reserve monsters to level 10, then expelling them for white berries. Two white and any color berry makes a potion to add the special monsters to your roster when you start a new game. Minotaurs and Bomb Birds are the stuff!
About as fun as licking stamps for hours on end. The only fun part is building the death trap, but even that wasn't enough to keep me playing. 2/5 Try harder.
Where on earth is the in game encyclopedia that explains the details of skill management/building? And dont point to a forum or a wiki. F! that. It should be in game -_- Nobody comes here to play a game just to be sent to a forum to figure out how to play the game. Aside from the loading issues, there's a lot missing from this game in terms of information about how to play.
Was ok and fun for the first 10 levels or so, then it lost its unique feeling and just became a "trial and error until getting it right" kinda game. Once that happened, it lost its fun. Became more like tedious work rather than game time. No story, no overall "here's the goal!" type objective leaves the player with an empty feeling. What's the point? I'm a little three legged guy running around with nothing to interact with but some "coins". This game does have some brilliant design, but lacks personality and the encouragement to make a player willing to finish all the levels and complete the game. Without those elements, this game loses replay value as well, which is a huge factor in way some rate games. If it isn't worth replaying, was it worth playing in the first place? My answer to that question is a resounding no. I understand replay value is something difficult to implement with puzzle games. 3/5
The game isn't as grindy as people say it is. Once you get stealth and gather a few shadow shards you can pretty much walk your way through to the generators. The ending of the game is fairly uneventful. I'd like to see a better story added to this gameplay. More skills and abilities would be great and even better, a class system. The game is kinda grindy if you're looking to dominate it completely. The controls are fine. Adding hotkeys to incorporate more keyboard use has already been mentioned and would be a great idea. An annoying point about the game is the obscene evade rates of the higher level monsters. It's annoying to throw my basic attack, slash, shield bash, backstab, slice, flame and lightning at a monster and only have one or two of those attacks hit. The basics for the game are fun. Just needs more detail and polish. 5/5
Half of the rare special weapons, even when combined with their common level power ups, are weaker than the simple common double laser power up. Moronic and annoying waste of graphics if the special rare weapons are that much weaker than basic laser doubled up. Sad. Also, the RS Conquest's damage doesn't calculate properly with the Conquerer's Seal. I dunno if that's a bug or the game dev just being stupid trying to balance the RS Conquest with the other two ships since its clearly better.
Ninja bosses are the only threat. Sucks pretty hard that tower placement revolves solely around that one enemy type : ( Would be nice if the towers that could deal splash damage would still trigger even if ninja's are smoke-bombed, namely the fire spread towers. Fun game, tho! 4/5
Funny how I actually rated it low because of locked content available only by spamming it on other sites or visiting other sites only to see the locked content joke saying 0/5. Sad that these losers cant make a game w/o trying to get into our pockets.
Why are game mechanics so difficult for game designers to understand? Do they not realize the only way that the Assaulter's special could possibly be useful is if it makes the damage 2.1x more or better? Else that unit could be replaced with the Fire Sorc and have it deal its normal damage which would be 2x.
games like this need multiple ways to lose and scary jump at you attacks from zombies when you do lose. losing forces you to start all over! and stuff like that. this wasnt scary at all : (
