I just came across a glitch. I was at stairs, went to hit q to advance, accidently hit 1 before hitting q, which was set to the wings. I saw the escape animation, saw myself outside the cave, and then it sent me to the next floor, with none of my temporary items, and without my wings. I continued 23 floors, collecting every chest, before I gave up and died. I lost my gained permanent items, but I didn't know there was a quit run option in the menu, which might have produced different results. However, this happened on the transition from 29 to 30, and the next run I had 30 unlocked. Hopefully this information helps figure out what happened.
I definitely would have played this sooner if I knew it was a danmaku like game.
And as a recommendation to the creator, maybe making a way to slow down your character through shift or something while using keyboard will be nice (unless there is a way and I am oblivious).

I got the key and the ring, but I don't know what to do after that. I found that the ring opens up the warp below the start, but I can't figure out what the light thing is about.
I beat it without dying once! and only had to revisit one level, which was because I didn't want to try to renavigate the last room to get the last star.
I also had problems with lag, but for some reason right now it is playing perfectly normally, so it may just be a temporary problem. Also, about quality settings, you need to right click the screen.
one of the things in the cave said that he would tell you a secret if you got slayed 10 animals and took their souls but I don't know how to kill them... do I need an item?
wow, I was playing on just level 2 and got a rocket that olmost left orbit, didn't, and basically went around the entire level right into the guy. I got a score of 2259 points for longest shot, putting me in 6th. I just couldn't stop laughing.
