In my opinion this game was amazing. The concept was great and original. The jumping was abit irregular when you hit the sides of platforms, but putting that aside the idea was fresh and amazing. Good job
Im in agreement with everyone. The main problem with this game is the difficult cash flow. This game deserves a much higher rating then it was given, only because of this problem. The visuals in this game and great, and lag free. The music was amazing, and well done. the gameplay however, suffered slightly. I feel as if this game could have been much more enjoyable if the cash flow and difficulty curve wasnt so hard to keep up with. Upgrading prices were ridiculous because you'd only be able to upgrade one tower once per round granted you didnt spend your money repairing structures and figuring out how to upgrade your three main buildings. The time limit between each round was too short Although I wish this game could last longer, I will only be giving it 3/5. It was enjoyable to have those akward "checkpoints" in the main menu to start off with. But reaching them was ridiculous.
I agree with the majority. This game provides lots of fun for 5-10 minutes or so, but it does get tedious after a while. Although the automatic upgrade after a 10-combo is great, it'd be nicer if you could get upgrade points to spend after every 10th combo in your chain. That way you can customize your virus thing to your liking and play-style. The enemies and their spawn doesn't really affect you in the higher levels seeing how you can simply destroy them all anyways. I think it's a case of being overpowered, rather than strategic maneuvering. Music was great and upbeat to keep the game going, graphics didn't induce lag which was great, and there wasn't any glitches. So great concept, great effort, hope to see more like this in the future. 4/5
Abit of suggestions. Yeah I realize the regular monsters spew out acid when they die, that's why my health is dropping everytime I kill one. But the problem is, the screen doesn't go far enough to shoot and kill one of those acid spewing monsters without getting sprayed with acid. Even if the monsters are on-screen sometimes the range of the bullets don't go far enough to hit them. So you'll end up getting hurt if you kill something or not. I suggest making the range of what you can see on-screen a bit larger. but overal good game with nice potential 4/5
A decent try to simulate a maplestory private server, but honestly the difficulty is way to hard. Just trying to move will get you killed instantly. The keys are far away from each other as well. If this game hadn't ressembled maplestory it would get amazingly low ratings. Nice try, but work on getting a leveling system together or something along the lines of making the boss actually defeat able.
I think the concept of adding attributes to your towers , rather than just upgrading your towers in a TD game is great. The difficulty was smooth and well thought out. Money or "memory" in this game wasn't an issue at all, in fact it was plentiful, but yet at the same time the difficulty didn't decline because of this. The animations aren't bad but not aren't overwhelming and distracting, and it doesn't cause the game to lag whatsoever. Perhaps one of the few TD games with a sort-of-storyline, (if you actually read it). Great game guys, love your new concept. 5/5
Uhm yes. It's a game because we can interact with it? No, I wouldn't consider it a game but rather an interactive short. Not going to criticize it though, it was afterall made under 36 hours. It's either this, or a beat-em-up stick man game to toss in the trash with a million other ones that are similar. Im really unsure where the story was headed, or where it was supposed to head. But nice try.
Heh I really loved the evolutionary aspect of this game. I think since this is your first game you should add the evolution idea to your future productions. This was a great game 5/5.
Really brings back the memories of maplestory, however this shouldnt be compared to it. The game was cute and fun, but incredibly short. The upgrade system for fire rate goes from a single string of bullets to a 3-way spread shot. I'd prefer the string of bullets. The game makes for a quick entertaining walk down memory lane but can't be considered a decent game on its own if it hadn't resembled maplestory. All in all it needs improvement and raters shouldn't be rating this because it looks like maple.
Not to complain but it needs a bit of refining. It would be great if you can have more options for upgrades, and if there could be different different types of enemies. But overall 4/5
Lol when I found Anna she was on the ground bleeding like crazy. Went up to her and suddenly shes on her feet shooting a shotgun? Guess she's tough like her dad.
Hey just a suggestion to throw out there, maybe you should create a type of ground that causes instant death to mice instead of bouncing them off screen, like an acid ground of some sort. Could be fun in a level as an obstacle, (+) this if you agree ^^. Wall jumping makes levels a bit too easy now a days so this obstacle would liven things up a bit (ironic). Hope the game creators see this.
