I think the retaliation system needs to change. I log in, find out I have been attacked, but if they are of a lower level I have to retaliate immediately? This is a PITA, as it means you must carry weapons for raiding at all times (I usually use axes/maces/etc on my scavenging missions).
Excellent game, reminds me a bit of the earlier Warhammer games (Dark Omen etc). I'd love to see the squads retain their integrity and shape a bit better :)
This is a great game! I think it would be great if there were corner kicks, and perhaps be able to control the goalkeeper in a penalty shootout (if you can't do that already)! 5/5
I enjoyed this game - the interface and concept are awesome. But it has zero replay value. I now know all the combos so what would be the point? It's only hope is that I've forgotten a few!
I'd like to see the next edition contain different challenges, such as 'find the landmark' or world leaders etc (although I guess that wouldn't stay current very long). In any case, 5/5!
sheeps - eventually towns will stop buying items (some will never buy certain items) so just throw them away, they are only weighing you down. As for getting around, make sure you've got high AP and decent weapons. When you're heavily outnumbered, hide behind your carts/animals/vehicles and pop out to shoot, leaving enough AP to hide again. Once they get really close, switch to a shotgun.
UbiUbiU - all good ideas....hopefully they'll make a Caravaneer II with them! As for character stats - Intelligence always set to minimum, and I usually max out agility and physical shape - accuracy gets up there eventually. Do what Froboy said and walk around heaps in a battle - once you're up to about 20AP with your guy he is a killing machine.
Regarding the horses, they suck. They chew through forage and water and unless you've got a vehicle you don't get the speed bonus. For some reason you cannot ride them, even if they don't have a cart attached.
When you have medicine and your people are still dying, it is because your 'Doctor' skill is low. The lower the doctor skill, the less likely you are able to treat grave injuries.
Once you've got the hang of the game it's simple to get from Poca Cosa to Qubba with just the starting character. You just need to be a little smarter with how you use him. Make sure you've got loads of AP (from the agility stat). Intelligence should be set to minimum. Once you've got high AP + M4 + shotgun for the close stuff, you're sorted. Then upgrade to the sniper rifles in Qubba/Fort Goks. To be honest I prefer attacking with one guy than moving countless minions around.
