A card game on Kong that isn't a multiplayer ccg. I like it. Interesting gameplay. AI is well made, far better than I'd expect in a flash game. But interface needs improvement, in looks (color scheme, not so hypnotoad-looking animations) and more intuitive tutorial. "Start" is so big and bright and glowing I just click it, but can't figure out how to play or find Help in-game. On opening the page again I saw Help button in the menu, it explained things a bit, but it's long, hard to memorize all before playing.
Wow! I really love the concept.
Reminds me of Outpost 1 & 2 games which were among my long time favourites. Also of Lunar Commander. These are very old but if you haven't seen at least Outpost 2 I suggest to take a look for some ideas :)
Suggestions: 1) An option to turn the building on/off, so we won't have to sell it to free some colonists. 2) Show how many resources we're gaining / losing per time unit. 3) Show some details about resource when player hovers mouse over its icon, like "this is Oxygen, your production is 5 (from 1 plant), expenses are 4 (used for this and that)" and maybe some general words like "Oxygen is used for colonists breathing and production of something etc"
I LOVE getting feedback like this thank you. I will definitely check out those games for some more ideas and thanks a lot for suggestions. I had a building pause/un-pause button in the works but I didn't have time to implement it before it was "due" for school. But I really like those ideas of displaying the resources better, I was stuck thinking about different ways to do that for a while but i'm sure ill get some good ideas from those other games you've suggested.
Try Stencyl instead of Scratch. It has similar programming style as in Scratch, is made specifically for games. And certainly doesn't require that crazy window inside window design.
