I got 3,427,767. Hooray! A bit too luck-based, but overall very good. It would have benefited from a few different songs (levels), but the selected one was great. So the game doesn't have much depth, but it's still fun, provides a challenge, and is something nice to listen to.
The M key toggles the music. I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere in the game; you might want to point it out. (Kongregate folks tend to get all pissy without a mute button.)
SandwichKed, Donkey Kong Country was just about the most graphically advanced video game at the time it came out. I believe it was the first to use pre-rendered 3-D animation, which is really saying something.
It's basically a good game, but it's got one too many frustrating shots and easy-to-run-into bugs (my ball got stuck on the corner of a platform - I couldn't shoot nor reset it).
