Would be a better game if there weren't so much luck involved, especially at higher levels. The assassins seem to "dodge" the beam weapon from the red towers, too, which makes no sense. I've enjoyed it somewhat, but I'd prefer to just see a walkthrough to get the last badge. It isn't worth my time to keep grinding on it like this...
The first was my all-time favorite TD-flavor game, until now. If I could give this thing 7 stars, well, then I'd still just wish I could give it more...
Hmmm... not having loading problems, but between last night and now it's starting dragging a lot when my disc gets to a multiplier of 50 or greater. So slow that I'm getting hit by reds that were have the length of the field away when I started trying to move...
OK, seriously, just to be fair I tried it again 3-4 times. The only thing that was "fixed" since I had the same control problems last night, is that they "fixed" the hard badge by required "hard" level instead of "medium". Mind you, they still haven't figured out how to properly trigger the K API event (last night they admitted it, now they've just changed the description of the requirements). Take this POS down and try learning how to manage keyboard input BEFORE you try big-boy toys like the Kongregate API. I wonder what good, working game got passed over for a challenge and badges, in favor of this?
Now, I'm no sooper-1337 flash developer or anything, but I'm going to assume that when the character doesn't move in response to the keys, or keeps moving in one direction despite pounding on the opposite key, that this is a bug. A bug no other games seem to have, so it shouldn't be that hard to fix.
Wish these guys would actually read a book or two on physics (or *horror of horrors* take a class or two) before writing crap like this, especially the last level. Springing and bouncing that comes out of thin air FTL... 1/5
I was trying to give this game a fair 2nd chance, but a German jeep drives *through* a bunker? And the then stops at the bottom of the screen firing at everyone point-blank without ever dying? That's just sad.
Warlord: I've played hundreds of tactical sim games, ranging from cardboard-counter-based like Squad Leader to strategic-level games like the Civ series and the Total War games. I agree with the others that it would make the game cheesy if every shot were a one-hit-kill, but missing guys that are practically on top of you shows that the game writers have no understanding of, well, how guns work.
Well that's nice... after not getting the challenge after finishing with a party of 5, I click on "report missing challenge" only to find out it requires a screen shot. Which I can't get because I've left the page. That link really should open in a new window/tab...
They'd best hope Wizards of the Coast don't see this. Also, not getting the 12-missions badge, and not showing any progress on the challenges completed...
