235 points left and nothing to spend it on?
Also: black swans rule (well right up to the point where you get surrounded by 747s after 15minutes of endless mode). Once you hit around 10 minutes endless mode, game becomes more like a meat grinder
need: speed button, more strategically matched weapon (wtf is with the enemies bigass turrent cannons?), and something to do after lvl 6 (what, no end, but nothing to do either since you cannot replay lvls, automatically gives this game a replay value of nil)
fun game, upgrade progression could be better (the way its set up makes you tend to skip on weapons, chassis and specials where you're just buying one branch to get to the next tier) giving you a 4/5 because its better than a lot of the recent shooters I saw. Achievements seem to be broken too (how do you kill cupids with one hand? and the slimy thingy achievements seems to only count the big blob, not the smaller versions that pop out, plus the 1000000 cash doesn't seem to work for me)
You're right, it seems to be a problem with achievements. I'm a little busy with my new project but I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.
Thanks robdfa
Right, the game isn't actually bad. 3/5 maybe, and you can improve it too.
BUT: I finish the game, and I get a pop-up window to an external gaming website in return? (who in turn give you another party-casino-type pop-up)?
REALLY?!
1/5, but I'd give you negative points if I could.
Weapons are unbalance, assault rifle is almost useless compared to submachine gun, upgrading options quickly become irrelevant since you can reset (after getting 5 points, the rest is almost pointless since you can just max out any gun your using). Really frustrating to see the difficulty being pretty high, with not a lot you can do about it, even though you have loads of xp and cash. Only strategy that might help surviving lvl 7 is running in circles, try to make a way ahead of you every now and then, and throwing your grenades in front of you (in your part) blowing around in big circles. Even then it's silly to see that if you shoot at the center of mass, wasting no bullets, enemies will pretty much come in quicker than you can kill them. Could do with a lot of improvement...
Here's a tip promoting fair play (I don't trust them machines....): Show the position of enemy ships after losing (what, your big brother never cheated on you playing battleship?)
Ok game, but lacks in implementation. Turrets are unbalanced (laser vs howitzer, laser does less damage and the extra range can never compensate), final turret way too weak (especially since it will probably be outranged at some stage). I used a awfully simple strategy using howitzer only, got me through the game...
game has a nice feel to it, 4/5 for now. for 5/5: Could improve on upgrades (more stuff with bigger differentiation in playing style), balance weapons (e.g. minigun is too strong, sniper rifle doesn't pack enough punch), ability to customize the probe. Sniper rifle is bugged in my game too (max lvl doesn't unlock). Don't like being insta-killed by mechs walking into me (with a boss, fine, but I also get killed by some of the cannon-fodder running into me). Also, make it bigger (the game that is)
nice game, but killing the final boss takes either luck, skill or just a shitload of attempts. Would be nice to get more weapon explanation (do effects stack? acid doesn't work on bosses. etc)
ok game, but weapons need balancing (many weapon upgrades don't make sense in terms of extra dps). +1 on the shotguns being overpowered (or the rest of the guns being underpowered).
nice start, terrible balance problems. The only unit you need is the boneshaker + babe, maybe airstrikes. Your own 'ultimate' mech monsters sucks balls, even against 'normal' opponents.
I think winning the final level only depends on timing your boneshakers+babes, and a good deal of luck (e.g. not having too much of those green-locust things come out and hoping you timed your babe in between dragon flames.
would have been 3/5, could have been 4/5 with work, but annoyed the living daylights out of me during the final level, so...2/5
nice short game. needs autofire, more levels/replayability, balancing and mabe some more interesting upgrades (e.g. different types of guns/missiles/drones). Oh and i found that particle beams will not hurt you if you just took damage, or they can only hit you once. 4/5
not bad for a start but if this is not your first game you should really be able to improve it:
- add mouse control, the ship moves fast, scrolling is relatively fast, and diagonal pathways are pretty hard to navigate by keyboard this way
- make big asteroids either harmless or indestructable without bullets passing through them, i ran into them because i figured they were part of the background
- the red orbs for opening doors look way too much like upgrades (which is why i dove right into them = boom)
- can't see any real benefits from laser upgrades. Do they stack? Do you lose them all when you die? I felt that even small enemies take about the same time to kill even with upgrades.
- people love upgrades, add missiles, spread fire, deadly rotten-egg-bombs, anything
- increasing the size of the playing field would make this game feel more mature
3/5 for now
could be a nice game, but buggy... doesn't save progress if you reload after winning lvl 1, gaming slows down after a while with too much bullets flying (and laying) around. Placement of buildings is buggy too, sometimes i can hardly plant a tree in a wide open field, sometimes i can almost stack buildings, and i saw the ai building on top of his wall...
