When I get time I will animate the score generated each step on the screen so that people may 'debug' their different paths. I'm sure learning a thing or two about usability here :)
This is a game for nerds (me). To all who do not get to the next level - read the text in the lower right of the game itself (you add the difference of digits stepped on to get to the odd colored digit). Those who know more than three digits of pi (3.14) might notice that the stage is made up of these digits.
Well, first level is: 3-1-4-2-6-5 which gives 4+9+4+16+1 = 34 points.
If that doesn't work please tell me. And yes - ONE game would be alot better but as these were my first games and I was in a hurry I did not have time to learn menus and buttons :D OMG!
Thanks for all the constructive comments :) This is my second game ever so user interface has not yet been a priority. I will work on the originality, the user interface and the skill issue. Maybe this is a completely new and unique game after next weekend. /R
I agree that the first levels have alot in common. Hard to get around that fact as the stage consists of the digits of Pi :) BUT - there are significant differences in later levels. To make things even worse for the non-interested people I've just published my very FIRST PiClimber. There the score is simply the difference and no other rules apply.
You mean that 1-4-5-3-3-2-3-8-9-2 won't take you past level 3? What score do you get when you get to there? :/ BTW - Just added the very FIRST PiClimber I made... check it out.
Now there are no such comments :)
About the Boomshine comment: I hadn't played boomshine before but now that I have I think that there are several major differences. I don't suppose that Boomshine invented the shape of the circle or the way it bounces ;) Anyways what separates this game from boomshine are 1. Balls get smaller each level. 2. Balls are larger. 3. Balls are different size within a level. 4. Graphics. 5. You click a BALL (as opposed to clicking anywhere on the ground). 6. Balls continue moving when expanding. Is it worth a 4 now? :D Any suggestions on changes that will make it better? Was thinking of ahcors that can be placed on balls to stop them from moving. Or maybe a sort of expander that will make one ball much bigger - causing a larger explosion when triggered.
